The language of the case does a lot to defeat artifical & semantic distinctions of firearms, like “assualt weapons”, because of features like a pistol grip or interchangeable magazines.

The rights enshrined in the 2nd as well as all the others are not relevant. Not to downplay today’s results as they limit the states infringements on this amendment but the right to life is about to be up to the states… That boggles the mind but since there isn’t an amendment that the right to life shall not be infringed, it isn’t secure?

Seems that it’s stating NY State can’t deny qualified people permits anymore with their BS but should be stating Constitutional Carry has now been applied, no permit required. The way the disarmament advocates are crying and what some have stated, you would think we just had Constitutional Carry applied nation wide, as it should be. Just found this with another article:
“In a concurring opinion, Justice Brett Kavanaugh and Chief Justice John Roberts said the decision does not prohibit states from requiring licenses to carry a gun outside the home as long as officials “shall issue” them if requirements are met instead of only “may issue” them under laws that grant “open-ended discretion to licensing officials.”
Kavanaugh and Roberts said states that allow officials to deny permits “with open-ended discretion” — including New York, Massachusetts, California, New Jersey, Maryland, and Hawaii — could continue to require permits for carrying guns outside the home as long as they “employ objective licensing requirements” in the future, such as background checks and firearms training.”

The “revolution” in Second Amendment law was right there all along, in the amendment itself; SCOTUS just -finally- decided to uphold it. (Welcome to the party guys! I mean I’m glad to see ya & all, but where ya been?)
It turns out that “shall not be infringed”, really does mean “shall not be infringed”.
Gettin’ some of that “separation of powers” action kinda changes things, don’t it?
SCOTUS got this one right. The 2nd amendment means what it says. This is definitely good news, and an opportunity for our brothers in the states where it was a pain to carry before. An opportunity to get comfortable carrying a weapon. Make it as natural as scratching your nose. Definitely don’t let this go to waste.
Good ruling from the Supreme Court…. but will the leftist, communist run shit-hole cities and states abide by this decision?
