Why I Won’t Vote for Trump if He Runs for President Again, by Scipio

I voted for the Donald twice.

During Trump’s first election, I had planned to vote for no one because no one among the leading Republicans were addressing America’s problems. Then Trump came along talking about dealing with illegal immigration, removing career politicians (aka swamp creatures), taking America off the Apology Tour of Obama, mending ways with Russia, and making America more competitive economically again (maybe “great” was overdoing it but hey, it was election rhetoric).  So, I’m thinking we have a rich billionaire kid who is a patriot?  He got my vote.

Two of his main objectives was to build a wall to protect our southern border and drain the swamp.  He did neither. He had the political capitol his first two years and squandered it trying to build a consensus with the Democrats rather than build a wall.  Not only did he not drain the swamp, his cabinet was made up of some of the swamp’s major creatures.  How could he not know that?

How did he never figure out the leaks were coming from his top aides? How did he not know government didn’t work like corporations, where orders were given from the top and the underlings performed those orders?  How did he not know the odd shaped building full of odd people were not following his orders to withdraw from Afghanistan? How did he not know there was a political game being played and he was the piñata? How did he not know that it was said he was playing chess but the Democrats were playing checkers when in fact he was playing to his vanity on twitter.

Instead of commander in chief he became Twitter in Chief.  How did he not know John Bolton’s idol was fellow war monger John McCain? How did he not know his top Air Force general in charge of pilot recruitment said the Air Force had to many white pilots, implying competency was secondary to a woke agenda? Why did he threaten to release classified information at the end of his Presidency that would reveal some of the nefarious activities of the intelligence community, and then didn’t do it?  Could it be the Dems figured out early he was all bluff and bluster, and similar to his current replacement, totally over his head? Where was his signature legislation like Obama’s Affordable Health Care Act? His knee jerk reaction got “bump stocks” outlawed and the ATF something to build on.  His knee jerk reaction to false flag chemical attacks in Syria had him send cruise missiles to kill innocent Syrians.  He was played like an accordion on that one.

Did Trump have any accomplishments?  Of course, there were many.  He proved an “outsider” could win.  He gave the average Joe and Joanne hope.  He awakened the conservative masses to recognize their own latent power.  He exposed CRT being taught in government departments and public schools.  He made the military proud again and supplied them with updated equipment. He spoke out against fake news when his fellow Republicans were afraid to say it. (Unfortunately, he did it in such a way to appear to be attacking the freedom of the press.) He removed numerous government regulations from the backs of businessmen thus spurring the economy. He made historical agreements with factions in the Middle East.  He stepped across the line on the DMZ in Korea and made direct warm contact with the Rocket Man himself which resulted in decreased tensions with North Korea.

Sadly, all his accomplishments were on a personal level and/or through Presidential Executive Orders which can be and were abolished by his brain-dead replacement in his first day in office.  With sweep of a pen, it was all washed away in black ink, the only black ink in Washington I might add.  Bottom line: other than the confirmations of a couple of suspect conversative Supreme Court Justices, Trump left no permanent change in the government he promised to change.

Was Hillary a better choice?  Hell no! The woman is a pathological liar and was probably the head of one of the largest money laundering and criminal syndicates in American history.  Al Capone and John Gotti would have stood in awe at what she was capable of.

So, why will I not vote for Trump if he runs again?  It’s because I will not vote for a guy who has already proved he is not up to the job.  Besides they wouldn’t let him win anyway.  They would steal the election again just like they did the last time.  It goes without saying, there is absolutely no one on the Democrat side I would vote for. They are mostly war criminals, pedophiles, psychopaths, human traffickers, social deviants, fraudsters, grifters, and lying bastards over there.  I may have left out some attributes.

If DeSantis doesn’t run, I am sitting out this election.  Besides, they stole the last election, what keeps them from doing it again regardless who wins on the Republican side. At least I will be going through the motions.  Instead, I will be working in my neighborhood with real people who are looking for real solutions to the nation’s ills and promise. I am not a Republican BTW.

Don’t say, “If you don’t vote, you have no right to complain.” Show me in the Constitution where only people who vote in Presidential elections have freedom of speech. You want to limit my speech?

Hi Scipio! I couldn’t agree more with what you wrote, point by point. I remember the incredible sense of disappointment I felt with Trump time and again from day one, forward. Countless times, I sat there nearly screaming, “What are you doing???” with Trump. The “Wall” was the pet issue that made me vote for him the first time (after not having votes for 12 years). I kept waiting, and waiting, and waiting as he kept promising the Wall was coming. No dice, while Trumptards everywhere were making apologies for him, rationalizing why he wasn’t coming through. Whatever! At around the 2 year mark, I decided egotistical windbag Trump was ALWAYS going to come up short and keep screwing himself. And I like what you pointed out about how his accomplishments, other than the (doubtful) benefits of the new SCOTUS justices, had no lasting effects. So true! At this point, I wish Trump would go the hell away – he has no productive value, and is toxic if anything. I probably won’t be voting in the next election either.

Well, I feel a bit different. I do agree that Trump did make many errors in trusting people who stabbed him and his administration in the back. But I think those have forced him to realize how many enemies of Freedom there are. Not just dressed in blue trim, many ‘allies’ turned on him as well. Were he to run again, I think he would choose his administration far more carefully, and be more realistic on what he can achieve. Democrats would again to work overtime fighting him, which negates them fighting for their causes without distraction.

The wall – well he did press for it many ways. Trump did not just fold as mos politicians do after a vote. Others had to stop him from executive actions – who stopped Biden from allocating the 40 BILLON for Ukraine ? Were the American people pushing for this – I don’t recall being asked.

Four years of Biden – four years of Trump. Which one will you vote for this time ? No one – well, I guess others will choose for you then. Vote or no vote, we all will live with the consequences of 2024.. Other than De Santis, I cannot think of another candidate who will not fold under pressure to concede to the Swamp. That was part of Trump’s appeal – he had no problem weathering the media storm, even seemed to enjoy it.

I respect your opinion though – you do make a lot of sense. Thanks for writing this post.

“Were he to run again, I think he would choose his administration far more carefully, and be more realistic on what he can achieve.”

That sounds a lot like an abused girlfriend going back to her boyfriend and saying “He’s changed, it’ll be different this time” We all know how that one plays out.

“Four years of Biden – four years of Trump. Which one will you vote for this time ? No one – well, I guess others will choose for you then. Vote or no vote, we all will live with the consequences of 2024.. Other than De Santis, I cannot think of another candidate who will not fold under pressure to concede to the Swamp.”

What makes you think DeSantis would be any different? And for that matter, why bother voting at all when we know that they can manufacture votes to install whoever they want, and you can bet it won’t be anybody on the side of anyone on this website.
Efforts should be focused on getting folks in office at the local level, that it where we can make a difference. Why do you think the leftists have put so much work into controlling the school systems over the last few generations?

Great article Scipio! I voted for the orange man as well. When he announced on eve of election victory he was going to pass on any prosecution of Hillary I knew he was part of the club. January 6th should have alerted all Trumpster faithfuls that the guy is a total fraud and served up the conservative movement on a silver platter. As time has progressed my disdain of the man grows, he is controlled opposition sent to derail, discredit an organic movement of American population which despises Washington DC. The good new is I will never vote in a national election ever again, the focus turns local to rooting out communist in the local school boards, city council and county boards. They need some serious house cleaning! DC will eats itself with corruption, it is corrupt to the core and will crumble due to its Godless rebellion!
