Long story made short: ALDI grocery stores have one goal to their shareholders: make an honest profit.
If ALDI stores are being robbed, looted, pillaged, shoplifted, and loyal customers are being scared off, such that the “traffic” is no longer there–guess what–ALDI will close that store. Sayonara.
We have a similar situation in NE Ohio where very successful local grocers set up in “ethnically diverse areas to serve the needs of the community there,” only to get robbed blind by these same “ethnically diverse groups.” Shoplifting through the roof from day one on a massive scale.
A fave trick was to have an inside “plant” such as a cashier hired from the locale, who would ring up smoked hams, steaks, and pork chops for pennies at the checkout to other gang members shopping there. No, they did not have UPC codes on items–just old-fashioned price tags on items. yeah–“let’s trust the locals.” NOT!
…and “locals” who not only knew about but condoned and encouraged this thievery were the first to bellyache (with the sad and wailing crocodile faces) to the “media” about how these “ethnically diverse” neighborhoods had no grocery stores.
…no sh*t, Sherlock! the “ethnically diverse” have been coddled and taught “gibs me dat” with no regard to free enterprise or a profit motive ever crossing their neural pathways.

Anyone who has ever spent any time living just off post at Ft. Benning Ga can confirm that this was a daily phenomenon at any convenience store in Columbus. The whole neighborhood would stroll in and chat with the cashier ( it was kind of a sport for them to drag the conversation out with inane chat if you were waiting behind them), and leave with armloads of merch without paying. Only the soldiers paid for anything.
Poor sales performance in this case has to be getting robbed by shoplifters, just another day in Shitcago. Plus the Hellinois TAX rates are horrid.
one year of food will not be enough. there will be a fertilizer shortage next spring unless petroleum plants around the world are re-opened and start producing nitrogen. without fertilizer crops will be short AGAIN next year, that’s two years of crop shortfall. if, and that may be a real big if, plants open up again before fall next year we may have enough for the next planting season – but most crops take three months to grow and there will be many hungry people by then. i say a minimum of three years food should be planned for as well as growing as much as you can for yourself in the meantime.
