Welcome to the Green Dragon Tavern! We dive into all aspects of medical preparedness, with the expectation that the economic decline and all its warning signs are going to continue. We then get into a lengthy discussion on the merits of the AK, and whether or not its obsolete, as some social media influencers are claiming.

The rusty AK pulled from a crusty locker boot kicked and proceeding to fire says not obsolete.
Some are even accurate with good machining and there are some SKS rifles also in that category with the 20 round box upgrade and you can paint the star red for the nice touch.
No weapon is ever truly obsolete, just ask the guy who got hit in the head with a rock.

You can suit up with all your Gucci gear and still get bayonetted by a naked guy with a Tapco SKS.

In order for something to be obsolete it has to no longer be in common use and no longer maintained and produced. The Kalashnikov is neither.

For those of you interested, Kalinka Optics has PK-A Venezuela dots in stock if you want to clone your AK to match what our potential opponents would be running.

I used to have such a dot. It’s a little heavy, but it takes a AA battery and the dot itself is pretty crisp and covers 2 moa @ 100 m.

      That’s a great, bombproof optic.
