If he had said this 5+ years ago it could be news. I guess late is better than never since some of the Left just started to see he ground coming up at them. Maybe if enough realize what they are causing and the results, they can get themselves “scared straight” though I’m not putting money on it.

History rhymes. Empires have a lifecycle. They usually fail in the same ways.
All of that is true. Sort of. Now take it a level deeper? Dalio et all will say the lifecycle is pre-ordained. But students of history will know its only pre-ordained if you have a certain group of subverters operating in your empire.
Dalio’s psyop is to make the cycle seem inevitable. It is not. It is a playbook.
Agreed. There are many examples in history where a nation was degenerating, then a great leader reformed the system. Allowing the nation to continue on till the next time.
Unfortunately that certain group of subverters reads history too, and are taking steps to prevent such a great leader from rising up again. Not the least of which is the online campaign that leads people to believe an uprising is guaranteed to happen and to win if people just sit around and meme at each other rather than getting active locally.
Watching Charlie Rose’s reaction makes me wonder whether he’s just acting for the drama in front of the camera, or does he really live in such a protected bubble that this is news to him.
