Three more countries set to join BRICS

Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Egypt plan to join BRICS, and their potential membership bids could be discussed and answered at next year’s summit in South Africa, Purnima Anand, the president of the organization, told Russian media on Thursday.

“All these countries have shown their interest in joining [BRICS] and are preparing to apply for membership. I believe this is a good step, because expansion is always looked upon favorably; it will definitely bolster BRICS’ global influence,” she told Russian newspaper Izvestia.

The BRICS nations (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa) account for over 40% of the global population and nearly a quarter of the world’s GDP. The bloc’s stated purposes include promoting peace, security, development, and cooperation globally, and contributing to the development of humanity.

Anand said the issue of expansion was raised during this year’s BRICS summit, which took place in late June in Beijing.

The BRICS Forum president said she hopes the accession of Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Egypt will not take much time, given that they “are already engaged in the process,” though doubts that all three will join the alliance at the same time.

“I hope that these countries will join the BRICS quite shortly, as all the representatives of core members are interested in expansion. So it will come very soon,” Anand added.

The news of the three nations’ plans to join BRICS comes after Iran and Argentina officially applied for membership in late June, with Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh touting the bloc as a “very creative mechanism with broad aspects.”

The map doesn’t lie here.

Egypt has the Suez Canal. Turkey has the straits going into and out of the Black Sea.

The biggest one is the Saudis and the petrodollar.

This is where AP is really standing out, in bringing this to the forefront. Are any other alt media even really touching this? Nah.. but the petrodollar is it. We lose it, and it’s going to get Zimbabwe or Weimar fast. Honestly before AP did the only one who really brought it up was V the Guerilla Economist. I’m not so sure that guy is on our side either..

It’s telling when one reads the replies on the original article. Those people cheering these developments haven’t a clue as to the hell that awaits them.
I’m no fan of the western globalist oligarch elites myself, but it seems to me that the alternative is far worse.

Saw this, S Arabia is the big tell. Notice there’s no chest thumping after FJBs return. These people running things can’t resist. Countries used to keep their mouths shut especially when it came to offending other Nations. But that’s not the way 24/7 propaganda works nowadays. You can bet your ass the Brandon trip accomplished zilch otherwise they’d be bragging about it. I suspect the number one objective was to talk SA down from joining BRICS. Obviously the West wanted them to produce more oil. Who the flying f*** is going to trust us. If I was in OPEC and the US said please help me I’m drowning I might throw them a barbell. You have to know if you successfully help these Globohomo types retain power they’re gonna come back and kill your industry with the green new deal shit.
