BREAKING: Liz Cheney DEFEATED in Wyoming

Rep. Liz Cheney was defeated in the Wyoming GOP primary Tuesday by Trump-endorsed attorney Harriet Hageman. Decision Desk HQ projected Hageman’s win shortly after the polls closed. At the time the race was called, Hageman was leading with 58.54 percent of the vote to Cheney’s 38.03 percent.

Former President Donald Trump won the state in 2020 with nearly 70 percent of the vote. Heading into the primary, Cheney trailed Hageman by nearly 30 points in a University of Wyoming poll published Thursday.

  He is a DIck in every sense of the word. I used to work at a popular venue for the elite to visit. Heads of State, royalty, movie and sports people, politicians, military brass, etc, all make the pilgrimage at some point. There were hardly any extraordinary protocols in place for most of these VIP types except for the Queen of England and sitting presidents, Oh and of course Dick Cheney. When this scum came for his private tour, beyond just the SS goons and snipers on rooftops, special instructions were given to every single member of the staff to not look at or make contact with any of the Cheney entourage unless they spoke to you first. This even included the head of this venue, who typically would interact extensively with the VIP guests and personally direct their visit. So that’s how it went, duties performed in silence with eyes averted from the great ones. Helicopters buzzed overhead and regional air traffic was diverted. Little Dickie came and went with scarcely a word to anyone and left a wake of resentment behind him that failed to leave so much as a single person unmoved. There was a reason why he was never President.

I was listening to an interview about a month ago (forgive me, as I cannot remember who it was who was being interviewed.) and the guest stated that in reality, between a 1/4 and a 1/3 of elected republicans are hardcore leftists, or left-leaning sympathetic, but due to the district/state that they hale from, they could never openly run as a dem otherwise they’d get hammered (Aunt Lindsey from SC is a perfect example).
There are only around 25-30% of the elected party that are true believers and are trying to actively fight the left, the rest are grifters who won’t say much and are there to go along with the leadership in order to facilitate whatever scam they happen to be running (Are you listening McConnell?).
The guy being interviewed had an interesting point in that we should be focusing on local elections more than national. National helps, he stated, but take FL as an example. You have DeSantis as a governor, and I believe the right controls both house chambers. He argued that you could get more done in your state to stave off the orcs from DC there, than on their home turf. If you have two, or more such states next door to each other, now you have the beginning of a block and you build from there. Nothings perfect, but he argued that this is the best place to start. I just have to figure out where I’m going to end up, as I am currently behind enemy lines up here in the NE.
