I received letters from the census idiots 2 years in a row. There were 50 something questions and only the first 5 or so had anything to do with population. The rest were about income, “hazardous materials” vehicles and other things that they had no need for. I answered the population questions and wrote on the survey that the rest was none of their business, never got fined and as far as I know there’s no warrants for my arrest.
When I lived and worked in behind enemy lines in a deep blue state, I never filled it out. In 2000 I had the census worker chase me to to post office in his own car. I gave him a verbal example of my displeasure and that was the end of it. Last time they gave up after 8 or 10 mailed notices and 2 unanswered door knocks.
Back around 2014 I had a census worker stalking my wife for like a week because I refused to fill out that stupid form. She was from out of state and would wait for my wife to get home then try to corner/bully her while I was at work. I called the sheriff on her and called her boss- never saw her again. No joke they told me they were sending my case to the Refusal Department!
