It’s coming, when the time is “right”.
The central bank digital currency (CBDC) or digital dollar (or spy bucks), isn’t gonna work to well without Internet. The world was a better place before the Internet anyway, we all lived very well and privately, without it; let the cutting commence.
Keep in mind, it only needs to work well until they extinguish the dollar and any scalable infrastructure for doing cash-like transactions. Once everyone is on the Digital Tyrant Dollar they will cut Internet comms as an additional starve-out tactic.
