Literally one of the most useless guys on the “training” industry
You clearly don’t need one- people using iron sights- or NO sights at all have been killing one another with firearms for half a millennia. BUT, only the foolish eschew advantages in a fight for their lives. I shot irons for over 40 years on handguns- 3 years ago I switched to Dots. My hits are better, at longer distances and in the dark- not EVEN CLOSE. The science is in on this – optics are easier to shoot, giving better overall results period.
We all said we did not need them on our carbines at first as well. Now you rarely, if ever see them not on a carbine.
In all fairness we still don’t NEED them on our carbines. Irons work just as good as they always have for aiming, BUT at the same time it is crazy not to take advantage of every useful enabler available to us.
For those with an attention span too short to watch; here is the summary:
You better be prepared to train through the learning curve or the dot isn’t right for you.
@yeoman and chad…
They know.
Do Not use loctite of Any Color.
You will either not get your screws out OR oneday you will notice a missing screw or 2.
USE This…. https://www.vibra-tite.com/threadlockers/removable-reusable-threadlockers/vibra-tite-vc-3-threadmate/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI09vb3Y36-gIVTcmUCR3fsAILEAAYAiAAEgL78PD_BwE
Vibratite drys to like old jello.
Get it? It works as a shock absorber.
Your screws wont have shock transfered to them.
Also, with vibratie you can take the screws out and re-install without having to re-Apply. Up to about 3-5 times, then, clean and re-apply.
I have yet too have to deal with pissy customers since i changed too it.
Good Luck and Enjoy
I don’t like anything that breaks stealth or that which makes you rely on gear only.
Others may love the sights and may they enjoy them.
