BREAKING: Greg Abbott to deploy National Guard, gun boats to secure Texas border against invasion of illegal aliens
On Tuesday, Texas governor Greg Abbott announced that he had invoked the Invasion Clauses of both the state and federal Constitutions in an attempt to put an end to Biden’s border crisis.
In a statement posted to Twitter, Abbott explained that by treating the flow of illegal migration as an “invasion,” Texas would be able to tackle the problem with unprecedented vigor.
“I invoked the Invasion Clauses of the US & Texas Constitutions to fully authorize Texas to take unprecedented measures to defend our state against an invasion,” Abbott stated, adding that he’s “using that constitutional authority, & other authorization & Executive Orders to keep our state & country safe.”
Abbott revealed that his government will deploy both the National Guard and Texas Department of Public Safety to “repel,” turn back and arrest those trying to enter the country illegally.
In addition, he expressed intentions of constructing a border wall in multiple counties, deploying gun boats, and designating Mexican drug cartels as foreign terrorist organizations.
Abbott noted that Texas does not intend to act alone in this endeavor, and will enter into agreements with other states and foreign nations to secure the border.

Can’t wait for AP updates on this. At least this will make Biden ecstatically overjoyed!! & just maybe this action will ignite the real hornets nest, but will it stick n’ stay?
As Texas Governor Abbott is not a wartime governor, I am surprised that he is actually taking a more aggressive action to stop the invasion of the Southern Border. I wonder if he is starting to realize that the majority of Texans support the Texas Nationalist movement – the border invasion is one of the key factors for the growth of the movement. Unless the invaders are arrested, and housed in small tents, and required to work for 5 years repairing the horrible roads in Texas, and doing other hard labor then at the end of the 5 year sentence returned to their country of origin the invasion will continue. By the way, the ICE and Federal Border Patrol have completely failed in their mission. Who is John Galt? TEXIT!
Yes, almost 2 years overdue. At least he is using the word invasion. We will see if the media ignores the new language and the presumed action. We shall also see just how far Abbot is willing to go and what the Cartel reaction will be.
