We were pretty close to the epicenter of this event. First thing I did was turned on the scanner to get some idea of what was going on and it was almost immediately that the problem was pretty widespread. Interestingly enough, there was a local report from an emergency worker (seems like it was sheriffs) that a branch had falling on a line. Have heard several times since then it was a branch that caused the outage, or at least helped, but never exactly where it happened. This vid also interestingly didn’t even mention a branch falling at all, but that the lines sagged into the trees instead, which seems pretty suspect to me they would allow anything to grow tall enough to allow that to happen, let alone 3? times.
