So that’s where all the Carl Gustaf ammo went….
Honestly, I have no idea what to make of all this. Here is the tweet that was made and then the youtube video from VOA it was using as its source material. I guess it’s no wonder Ukraine is burning through ammo like there is no tomorrow. Perhaps it’s like when you go to the range and its free ammo vs. when you go to the range and have to pay for it. There is something innate that when it’s your money paying for those resources, it makes one use those resources a bit more carefully.
Radio Free Europe have shared a video of Ukrainian troops using a Carl Gustaf as a drone-corrected in-direct fire weapon.

Not necessarily a bad tactic, however, I would think you would want to use a compass and something to measure vertical angle in order to make adjustments. Otherwise its just a WAG.
Yeah, not a bad tactic when you dont have to pay for the shit and your leader can just be ungreatful as fuck, demand more and get it so that Hunter B doesn’t have to get to close to a prosecutor.
Fucking idiots.
Back during the 1980’s Central American wars, read an article about a rebel group using RPG-7 as a crude mortar. The warheads were replaced with mortar rounds, minus the tail, and a crude inclinometer was attached to the optic rail.
First they use HIMARS like MLRS instead of the mobile precision missile system that it is, now they’re burning through all of NATO’s ammo stockpiles for nothing. It’s fine, I’m sure 3d MARDIV won’t need any of those rounds to deal with hordes of PLA armor any time soon…
