The Trust: A Warning for the Modern Patriot, by Crusoe

As patriotic Americans we are constantly looking for like-minded people to build community with.  Humans are tribal by nature, and this is perfectly normal.  Social media plays upon this tribal need and is always buzzing with that next great organization we need to rally behind or that next great leader we need to support.  There is always a backstory, and the prudent man moves with extreme caution.  The communists are masters at deception and there is a precedent for building a fictitious organization to trap patriotic citizens.  Below is brief telling of that story.

From 1921 to 1928 the new Soviet government was financially insolvent and there were active anti-communist cells spread across Europe.  Additionally, western governments were threatening to intervene and topple the fledgling Soviet government.  Lenin was facing many significant problems and the long-term viability of his government was at stake.  Thus “The Trust” was born.

“The Trust” was a fictitious organization created as a false pro-monarchist organization with a real headquarters located in downtown Moscow.  The KGB used a “dangle” to alert the rest of the exile groups that there was growing sentiment within the Soviet Union to overthrow the communist government.  A dangle is nothing more than bait used to pass on seemingly plausible information to shape an alternate reality to catch a larger fish.  Aleksandrovich Yakushev was a government official that while attending a trade conference in Norway was able to contact an exile group to alert them to the existence of the organization.  The news spread quickly across Europe and within a year all the major exile groups agreed to be a part of the “Monarchist Union of Central Russia.”

To further bait the trap, the KGB would funnel sensitive dis-information to these exile groups as well as carry out targeted low-level assassinations against their adversaries.  Additionally, all the western governments bought into the story and were funding the exile groups, who in turn were sending the money back to Russia to fund future operations.  The KGB smuggled people in and out of Russia and in the end the main exiled leaders were enticed to come back to Russia where they were promptly arrested and executed.

The results of this operation were the remaining pro-monarchists were neutralized and the eleven western intelligence services funded Soviet intelligence operations for the next ten years due to the funneling of money to the sham organization.  There are two reference documents for further study of this operation.  A short one and a long one.  Both are fascinating.

As stated, many times on American Partisan, it is always best to build community in your local area with people who have skin in the game.  Those grand organizations or eye patch wearing formal SEALS very well can be charlatans.  Buyer beware.

Yessir! All true–glad you explained it all.

An excellent series called “Reilly–Ace of Spies,” plays this out in Episode 10: 1924: Now living in New York, Reilly is working with the FBI to thwart Bolshevik agents in America. A supposedly anti-Bolshevik organization called “the Trust” agitates for Savinkov’s return to Russia, but Reilly mistrusts their motives.

…a very sinister and ruthless Felix Dzerzhinsky, architect of the “red Terror,” is well-played by Tom Bell.

Felix Dzerzhinsky …..another kosher “Russian” starting and running the entire show during the years you cite. There was never a Russian revolution. Color revolutions were not invented by the CIA or the “Russians” either……Nulands and Kissingers and SBF still painting broad strokes…..funny how that Still works

I avoid the dingle dangle by rolling solo and trusting no one, not even myself.
Family will turn on you for an EBT card or rations when it goes full South Africa.
All groups are always infiltrated. (apologies to Colonel Cooper)
Even the Calumet Wolverines had a rat among the group that had to be dealt with.

If you decide you’re never going to trust anyone and are going to stay solo, you’re setting yourself up to end up dead, and is the exact kind of thinking that keeps you isolated and ineffective. The “lone wolf” mindset is just as bad as trusting everyone, it just presents a different set of dangers.
