On Christian Men and Your Duty

Hi there. My name is Patriotman.

I don’t typically write original content (OC). I normally handle the back end of the site, and set up the posts for a day. To be honest, I don’t really feel I have much to say, given the expertise of this cohort. But tonight, I have something to say.

Tonight, I want to talk about men. Christian, God fearing men.

Right now, society wants to demonize people like us. “Racists”, “sexists”, “[insert-ism here]”.

The Left wants us to disappear. To fade into extinction. To no longer walk this earth.

Sure, we could fade into obscurity. The problem, though, is that the Left doesn’t know who we are.

I write this tonight after spending 11+ hours with my brothers and sisters packing 450+ meals for those who need a Christmas dinner. Men and women who worked their day job and decided that, “you know what, I have time off, so let me go to the church and cook food – all for the glory of God”. They were there last night, cooking the turkeys. They were there tonight, making the meals of turkey, gravy, mashed potatoes, green beans, stuffing, cranberry sauce and dessert – never complaining or asking when we get done. And, tomorrow at 9:00am, they will be there handing out clothes and toys and food. All donated by parishioners.

And the volunteers took VACATION DAYS – not for their own enjoyment, but for serving the community – to distribute the meals (or deliver to the homebound). Those who didn’t came straight from work.

All the while, a few meters away, we have nearly 50 contractor bags of clothes, 5 bags of toys, – all donated by parishioners. Coats, shoes, socks, etc – all waiting for those in need.

FUCK THE NOISE. THANK YOU TO EVERYONE. THANK. YOU.

The Left has no idea what us, as Christians, actually contribute to society because they just simply don’t know. Ignorance? Willful disregard? Perhaps. I honestly, given this generation, don’t know. But I will give them the benefit of the doubt.

There was a Nat Geo (I think it was them) who did a series about if humans suddenly went away (btw, watch it as you will learn alot of prep stuff).

If us, as Christian went away, the gap in services would be insurmountable.

This is literally a week after a close friend ran a toy run serving 110 households and over 320 kids.

My point is NOT to brag about our accomplishments. My point is to wake us, as a community, up.

  1. More than anything, building a community identity is key. Be that leader.
  2. Give until it hurts. If people know you as a giver, it is net positive. But, set limits so you are not the neighborhood foodbank.
  3. GET INVOLVED IN THE COMMUNITY. I am am member of the Knights of Columbus, but GET INVOLVED. Be the person that someone recognizes saying “oh I know him, he helped at XXXXX”

I will end on saying this: to the men who helped, thank you to the depths of my heart; to to those who helped throughout the year, thank you for everything;

To every man reading this: – the pure, the sinners, ” the “lost souls” and the “I believe” crowd – let’s make this pledge:

  1. I will make myself better
  2. I will make my family better
  3. I will fight against tyranny
  4. I will harness the thousands of years behind me to be the man I was supposed to be.

Remember your charge as a man.

Patriotman currently ekes out a survivalist lifestyle in a suburban northeastern state as best as he can. He has varied experience in political science, public policy, biological sciences, and higher education. Proudly Catholic and an Eagle Scout, he has no military experience and thus offers a relatable perspective for the average suburban prepper who is preparing for troubled times on the horizon with less than ideal teams and in less than ideal locations. I understand. Since before the crapdemic started I have been saying aloud

“I do not belong in this time period! I just don’t.”

I will continue to stand against tyranny.

Women and children are still second class citizens in the USA and around the world.

Please do not assign an ‘ism’ to me..

The concept I wrote above has been something I have been saying for quite a few years. It has nothing to do with any isms.
It’s about how society still casually dismisses the horror that women and children continue to suffer.

Thank you for writing your piece. You should write more often. Or suits you.

    AMEN, Brother!

    AMEN!

God made us MEN–to preserve, to protect, and to defend.

Let us be known by our actions.

    Good Morning Patriotman,
Contrary to that “other world”, His Kingdom (His world), strengthens,
    not weakens.

I had an opportunity to serve in a homeless ministry while studying abroad through my university. Growing up in the country where everyone has gardens and animals and/or hunts, it was the first time in my life being in the big city (although Dublin isn’t that large imo) that I truly was convicted by seeing true homeless people. Were there atheists, leftist protesters, progressive politicians, or LGBTQ groups out with backpacks filled with hot soup, bananas, and cheese sandwiches to feed them? Nope. It was my brethren in the Methodist church that would show up and gather in the evenings to make food and take gloves and hats to the homeless. I’ll never forget peeling away cardboard stuffed against a business entrance on a cold evening and finding two young kids literally holding each other to stay warm. They ate like starving vultures and begged for extra if we could spare it. It was heart wrenching to discover. I wonder what life gave them or what impact our service showed them.

Be kind to another and be Christ to others. And for goodness sake, take the time to volunteer for something. Anything. You don’t even have to share the gospel to change a person. Just be kind. Just show up. Do something.
