Washington burglars take out three power substations on Christmas
Burglars in Tacoma, Washington, vandalized three power stations on Christmas morning, leaving about 14,000 customers without electricity, according to police.
At about 5:30 a.m. on Sunday, the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call of a burglary at the Tacoma Public Utilities Substation on 46th Avenue.

When deputies arrived, a statement from the department read, they saw evidence that a fenced area was broken into. While nothing was taken from the substation, police said equipment was vandalized, causing a power outage in the area.
Another burglary was reported later that morning at a Tacoma Public Utilities substation on 224th Street, again with forced entry and damage to the equipment, and nothing stolen from the scene.
At 11:25 a.m. a third burglary was reported by Puget Sound Energy of a power outage and burglary that occurred at about 2:40 a.m.

Deputies said the third scene was broken into as well, and the equipment was vandalized.
As a result of the burglaries and vandalism that took place, 14,000 Tacoma residents were without power on Sunday morning.
The website poweroutage.us reported just before 7 p.m. on Sunday that only 2,084 Tacoma Public Utilities customers and 1,365 Puget Sound Energy customers were without power.
All three burglaries remain under investigation, and suspects have not been apprehended.

Pause gun and ammo pirchases, instead work toward primitive electricity via a small generator for basic needs.
This primative approach will not power your house but can get you by if you provide smarts and continual work. A 2k generator won’t run a well pump, but can keep your firnace running if all else is turned off. That is where your kerosene lanterns and supply of candles come in.
There is no reason why people can’t do easy shit in good times, to buy enough water cans to store thirty gallons, bleach treated, inside their dwelling. Toilets can be flushed with that for quite some time if standards are lowered.

And churches around the Puget Sound area. Now attacking substations all around the u.s. is the latest chaos tactic.
Too bad there arn’t any or enough operators to stake out substations. Just a couple dead communists would put a stop to it. The cops won’t do anything. If they do the prosecuters let them go and sweep everything under the rug.
Tolerate nonsense get more of it good and hard. Better luck next year taxpayers.

Hell, no! It is DOMESTIC TERROR–plain and simple.
…and guess what? The “authorities” and “government” will do little or nothing to find out who caused this. They are either not interested, too lazy, or are on the take with the terrorists (by design or fear of them).
Get yourself a small gas-powered genny. Mine is a 3k watt one I picked up at Menards for like $325–they still have them I think. It runs my nat gas furnace perfectly via a $25 transfer switch I got on Amazon. Easy-peasey to install.
Blizzard Elliot just stormed through central Ohio here with -7*F actual temps with 68 mph winds. Constant howling winds for 48+ hours. Wind chill got to be -42*F. Power went out–within 20 minutes, house temp went from 72*F to 50s. It wasn’t fun, but I got out the genny, used ether to prime it, and it fired right up. Furnace and 12v thermostat did its job. Home is warm as toast.
All the “rich folks” down the road–well–they got to ‘camp in’ their Mercedes-Benz, Alfa Romeos, and Lexus with their vehicles’ heaters going full blast while their home and water pipes froze. Hope they had full gas tanks. They laughed and chuckled at me when I trucked home my genny in beat up p/u–all the while holding crystal glasses of vintage wine and smirking at me. Last laugh is on them.
BTW, get squared away now with energy needs: a genny (gas, LP, nat gas or propane powered), batteries, inverters, cords of firewood–whatever you need. Same with food, water, meds, and necessaries.
Look–NO ONE IS COMING TO SAVE YOU! No guys with white hats or Cavalry going to ride in and ‘save the day.’

PS Best first-line security system? Dogs–hands down–best ears, senses, and eyesight going. They will let you know what’s going on way before you know it. Shelters, humane societies, and rescue groups are bursting at the seams with K9s. Get sum. Help a critter out. Dogs pay huge dividends!
Oh, don’t forget thew dog chow. Dry and wet dogfood, Tip: we wait until our local pet centers have “clearance” sales on dog food, Here in Ohio, by law, they cannot sell dog food past the best by date. So guess what?
A week BEFORE the “BBy date,” the local pet food stores here will offer like a $70 bag of super-quality name-brand dry dog food for like $10 just to get it off the shelf. Otherwise, it’s in their dumpster. I spoke to a lot of canine chow factory reps who–in private–assure me the food for dogs is GOOD way past the “best by” date. It’s printed on the bags just to get you to throw out perfectly good pet food and buy more!
Burglary/ vandalism? NO
Terrorism? Hell Yes!
Back up gen is a good idea. We did that about 5 years ago. Runs on the big propane tank out back.
Smallish 8K. Runs well pump, kitchen, and one bedroom circuit. Auto transfer switch.
Propane floor furnace.. No electricity required. Did that 35 years ago.
