    GOT IT, Bruh!

    one other item: ENVIRONMENT!

Check and see that your gear (weapons) FUNCTION in your current environment. Why?

Last week we had 68 mph wind and actual temps of -5*F with blizzard of blinding snow. Wind chills > 42 below zero. A whole lotta lubes and oils used by my Team on their sidearms and ARs failed them. FROZE UP!

Tip: one cold night–put your weapons out all night on the back deck, in the barn or shed, or even on the cords of firewood–retrieve them early in the morning. Rack them and try dry firing them. You may be in for a big surprise if you’re a “Northerner” nowadays in bitter cold. DO IT!

Find out what works and what doesn’t. Just an “Old Timer’s” tip learned in the frozen hills of Korea.

Recommend rotating magazines, saw plenty that weren’t and the springs failed in unit armories.

Agreed. Magazines are consumable items, they break or get lost frequently. You can never have enough of them.

Taking your advice since Im going to be attending a Brushbeater class. Find the spare set of hi-tech earpro because the primary sets batteries corroded the crap out of them. Probably good for mowing lawn still.

I wouldn’t worry about it too much, electronic earpro are overrated. Good on you for knowing the state of your gear, though.
