The United States intends to take Soviet weapons for Ukraine from Latin American countries. Including Cuba, Nicaragua and Venezuela, provided that these countries replace Soviet weapons with American ones.

Absolute, tone deaf insanity.

We failed regime change in those nations due to terrible foreign policy dating back to the 1970s, and the resulting Leftists running the show in those nations have very, very long memories.

They don’t want or need shitty American MIC grifter bridges to nowhere, they’re perfectly happy with what they have. And they’re fully exploiting a non-existent southern border.

Then again, there might be another reason General Janeway here is promoting sending them our current weapons platforms. Familiarization when they push north.

I can’t take any nation’s military seriously if they have chicks for generals. Women are not warriors. Furthermore, any nation that puts that half of its population that can (but aren’t) carrying the next generation inside them on the battlefield is on a suicide glide. And that assessment applies especially to my own country.

If we give away our equipment to a hostile regional enemy, when they attack us we can use their captured weapons to fill in holes in our inventory when we run out of weapons because we gave them to our enemy. The MIC wins, we win-everyone wins. And when the soy boy draftees throw down their weapons and run for the basement, we wont be out anything because those weapons were captured……oops. Cant capture weapons if we’re retreating because all the numbers are against us. Dammit! Back to my basement.

Since they view America as the enemy it makes sense.
The weapons will be picked up on the black market or captured intact and reverse engineered after figuring out all weaknesses and the best counter defense.
The faculty lounge fifth column wants the former USA to burn to the ground and never rise again.
