When you filled out your 4473 and it got approved at the gun counter and you walked out with a new shiny gun it was registered. How fucking hard is that to understand? Unless you private party bought it it is registered to you. Geebus it ain’t that hard to figure out.

And on a more serious note, how difficult is it to understand that the NFA registry is quite a bit different than having a form 4473 on file? You could have sold and traded several firearms over the years in private party sales that had been bought on a 4473. Sure, the records show that you were the purchaser, but they could have gone through several owners in private party sales by now.
It still sucks, but for those of us in states that don’t prohibit private party sales a 4473 is a lot different than a registered SBR, which can’t legally be transferred private party, is most definitely registered, and has storage and transportation strings attached to it.
