Friends Don’t let friends solder connectors. Please crimp them.
That may be the case, but this was sent to me by a Ham Elmer who got it from a Navy EW guy of 25 years so I guess YMMV with doing this.
I’m still soldering mine because I’m too cheap to buy crimpers and dies.
The good thing about soldering is you can do it in a pinch without special tools, other than a soldering iron and solder, which can be found anywhere.
