Interesting, BUT–here is a historian who clearly states:
“I believe we have no certain knowledge of what is right and wrong…”

WHAT?
Q: “How can a historian, of exhaustive efforts of a 12 volume series, NOT point to the Old or New Testament of what is “right” and what is “wrong?”
Did not even pagan re-Christian have codes of what is right and what is wrong.
Even ‘natural law,’ engraved upon each human’s heart tells them what is right and what is wrong.
Is Toynbee’s thesis: We will educate everyone in society and then, as a community, decide ourselves what is right and wrong? Humm…Adam and Eve post a Satanic visit or Marx, Lenin, and Stalin thinking?
Give me the OT and Jesus in the NT any day of the week–and twice on Sundays as to what is right and to what is wrong.
