CVS Layoffs: Who Should Go? by Scipio

CVS announced today they were laying off 5,000 employees because of Bidenomics (I mean despite Bidenomics).  I don’t know if any of the employees who work at the CVS I patronize will be one of them, but I know two who should.

This morning, I was standing in line at the local CVS pharmacy that is my drug dealer, when I heard an announcement over the PA system.  The announcement was as follows: “Attention CVS shoppers. Windows left rolled up in a car parked in the sun can reach temperatures of over 100 degrees in minutes inside the vehicle.  If you see a pet left alone in a car with rolled up windows on CVS property, please let a CVS employee know and they will page the owner.” I waited for what I thought would be a corollary announcement about if you see a child left in a hot car, but none was forthcoming.  Apparently at CVS pet animals are more important than children. PEETA will be thrilled to hear this.

As I stood in line steaming about the cruelty of such an omission, my turn came for my stash (I mean my drug) to be picked up. The employee asked, “Name please.”  I started spelling my name, because people sometimes have difficulty with it, and when I got to the fifth letter of my name, she stopped me and said, “I only need the first three letters.” I said, “Then you didn’t need my name? You just needed the first three letters of my name, so why did you ask for my name instead of the first three letters of my name?  The employee said, “That is what we are told to ask, but we only need the first three letters”

I don’t know who CVS is going to fire, but I hope one of them is the executive who instituted the “Ask for the customer’s name policy” in order to get the first three letters of their name instead.

Another employee who they should terminate should be the cold-hearted creator of the PA announcement whose main concern was for animals in a hot car, not little children.

I am assuming both employees were drinking Budweiser on the job when they made those decisions.

A relative gave me a gift card from there recently and the prices were laugh out loud funny.
If you don’t have a loyalty membership CVS card every listed price is double what it says on the shelf sticker.
Ended up getting some bottled water and coffee while having to get fifty cents from the clerk who scissored the now empty gift card.
Shopping there with real money won’t ever be happening.

It will be a great day when the ‘medical’ complex is back to where it was in the 1950s – when people took care of themselves , rather than lining up for pills like retards. Stay away from demons in white coats.

My wife left CVS as a Pharmacist years ago. It’s run by overpaid cubical morons who know little about serving the public and even less about operating an efficient pharmacy.

Her pharmacist hiking ladies think of the CVS acronym as “Come Visit Satan”. Horrible to work for, 14 hrs standing and paid for less. Not enough essential employees. The “suck” was worse each day.

Locally some CVS stores close down as BOTH Pharmacists quit the same day. Finding fresh meat to put behind the counter isn’t easy.

We avoid CVS. Did I mention overpriced &@?$ merchandise!
