New York Jews ‘feel like they are being hunted down’ on global ‘day of rage’

Jewish communities in New York feel like they are being hunted down after a former Hamas leader called for a global “day of rage” today – Friday, October 13.

It has left many Jews across the world feeling unsafe and on edge, as Hamas has called for rallies in the West Bank, Jerusalem, and across the Arab and Muslim world in support of its ongoing struggle against Israel.

Former Hamas leader Khaled Meshaal issued the rallying cry, urging Muslims in the Middle East and around the globe to stand in solidarity with Palestinians on this designated day.

Meshall said in a speech aired on Yemeni television: “We should take to the streets and the city squares in Arab and Islamic cities, as well as in cities everywhere where there are communities.”

In response to the threat, Israel’s Foreign Ministry and National Security Council issued a joint statement on Thursday, urging Israelis abroad to take extra precautions. They warned of potential protests, which might escalate into violence, with Israelis and Jews potentially being targeted. Israelis were also advised to stay vigilant, avoid protests, and seek updates from local security forces.

Daily Express US spoke with Jewish individuals in New York to gauge their reactions as the “Day of Rage” commences.

Deena Albert, a medical student from New York, expressed her heightened sense of alertness. She said: “Everything’s different because we have to be on extra alert today…My aunt in Israel texted me that she feels like she’s being hunted down, and that’s very much what we feel like here now.”

Albert also highlighted how the situation has led to some of her friends and colleagues skipping work out of fear for their safety.

Muslims and jews are like lions and hyenas, they will never ever get along. Americans and anybody else (jews, muslims) that can let that shit go should stay out of it. they will be killing each other forever. getting dragged into it is looser.

Maybe, just maybe American Jews and Jews elsewhere will reject the failed concept that others can protect us, and like American Patriots from day one, will arm up and remain armed, trained, and vigilant. This is why we need the 2nd Amendment in the 21st century and will always need it. Because insane zealots, sworn to murder, can only be opposed by constant vigilance by every single person. Israel understood this post 1973 but forgot that lesson, like their American brethren, costing many hundreds of lives on Oct 7 of this year. Let every citizen be a rifleman, always, and let him or her be constantly armed.

Our Founders understood what happens when a society is disarmed. Nothing good can come of it.
