From a historical context, the League of Nations gave Great Britain a mandate to administer the area of Palestine following the Ottoman Empire’s defeat of WWI. The British management was nothing short of a disaster, eventually ending up with snipers killing both Jews and Brits on the streets, on a regular basis. The result was that they ended up bringing in approximately 100,000 British soldiers in an attempt to quell the violence. They even made a concerted effort to appease the Palestinians by reducing the level of Jewish immigration, turning back ships containing Jews, who had sailed from Europe. After the League of Nations dissolved, and were in turn replaced with the UN, the Brits went to them and asked for advice. That advice was a two state solution, which the Palestinians turned down, because they were not satisfied with the proposed borders.
He is an experienced and knowledgeable individual, but does not take into consideration the Biblical aspects of this issue. From a geopolitical perspective, he sees things in a way similar to how the Palestinians see them, but I am quite confident that Israel will (a) not give up any territory, in the long run, and (b) the Palestinians will not “wipe them from the face of the earth.”
For you skeptics, keep in mind that Israel did not exist as a national entity until 1948, after having its people dispersed worldwide over the course of several centuries. All of that is outlined in the Bible, with the restoration of the nation discussed in Ezekiel 37.

Within 4 minutes I got whiplash from shaking my head in disbelief.
Say what you will about the downtrodden “Palestinians” but they are given (for free) vast amounts of resources, money, and international attention. Just as with our rulers, theirs confiscates most of the money and resources and gives the population some crumbs and points to others as the aggressors. Most Isreals and “Palestinians”, just as Americans only care about their short-term pleasures and when shite hits the fan, scream for a hero to save them and blame the artificial villan.
Who’s stopping the “Palestinians” from being self-sufficient? Who’s stopping most of Americans from being self-sufficient?
