Here is something to consider – there is a penchant for assuming the Russians are super smart and all that but you know what? Their leadership and MoD are a bunch of old and senile boomers like ours are.
Remember that. Putin is in his 70’s. He has bouts of it like our geriatric “betters” do at times. Some of the pro-Russian twitter and telegram accounts point this out, like the RWA podcast and Intel Slava Z at times.
Their real ability to inflict pain is the CAVIM factory in Venezuela that is pumping out Kalashnikov rifles. Now, there seems to be conflicting information on whether that factory is even operational or not. However, they are building at least enough to train and equip their people. Some are tricked out, some not. The Venezuelans have been modernizing them at times, others are still running the PK-A red dot sights. No real change on the muzzle device though, which I found interesting. The 74 brake puts out a flash, even during the daytime!
