It’s going to be one hell of a summer. Prepare accordingly. By the way, it’s only going to get worse.

Well, that settles that. The outstanding question about federal “monopoly of force” as it applies to state’s powers was whether the Feds would tolerate a state like Texas or Florida using armed force to repel an external invasion in the absence of or in direct conflict with federal policy. Tough enough when dealing with a land border like Mexico, but very difficult to imagine when dealing with seaborne “refugee” invaders. The only answer in the case of Florida is interdicting them at sea and having them repatriated without making landfall. I cannot see how this could have been carried out even given that DeSantis is marshalling state armed forces to presumably do just that. I would have to conclude that the humanitarian argument for getting them safely ashore is a much easier case to make then the Mexican border situation, and therefore the Biden Regime has elected to have his States Rights showdown with Florida rather than Texas. I expect the USCG will be pointing weapons at FLA Marine Patrol or Naval Militia rather than at the cannibals.
