Four-in-10 U.S. voters think a second civil war is coming to the country, according to a new survey.

The Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey of 1,105 likely voters conducted in April asked respondents how likely they thought the U.S. would experience a second civil war in the next five years.

The survey found that 41% believed it to be likely, including 16% who thought it very likely. Forty-nine percent thought it likely or not likely at all, and another 10% weren’t sure.

Extrapolating from the polling data, that would mean 106 million Americans think civil war is coming by 2029.

According to the Daily Mail, Republican voters were more certain that Americans would go to war with each other than Democrats.

The survey also found that 37% of respondents thought a Biden victory would make such a war more likely, whereas 25% thought a Trump victory would increase the likelihood of civil war.

Uhhh, okay- who would the belligerents be? Leftists vs Constitutionalists? Illegals vs Citizens? The fats vs the skinnies? We definitely no longer have a homogeneous society, but are the differences so great as to lead to armed conflict? I have my doubts as things currently stand. Throw in an economic collapse, a shady election, miss a few meals, internet service outages and such, and our babyfied population might just throw a tantrum of epic proportion. The impetus and stimuli have so far elicited no reaction. As long as folks have full bellies, internet, and air conditioning- they don’t much care about anything that goes on that doesn’t directly affect them right now.
