About the Author: Patriotman
Patriotman currently ekes out a survivalist lifestyle in a suburban northeastern state as best as he can. He has varied experience in political science, public policy, biological sciences, and higher education. Proudly Catholic and an Eagle Scout, he has no military experience and thus offers a relatable perspective for the average suburban prepper who is preparing for troubled times on the horizon with less than ideal teams and in less than ideal locations.

I’ve used the Green Apple Rit to make a decent dye… used it on Rifleman Sets. After you dye it and you let it set in and dry you can still use camo stencils and Krylon Fusion to make a pattern you like.
Good way to make semi- worthless gear useful. I’ve often thought- what colors are present year round?- browns, greys, and tans. Green should only be present as a specific type- and then, only no more than 25 percent of the pattern. A truly universal year round pattern would have no green and no white. Only dead foliage and bark colors, as that is present in most every environment. Camo theory is often overlooked in favor of what looks cool.
