WEF Warns ‘an Era of Shock Events’ is Coming

In a startling new opinion piece published on the World Economic Forum’s (WEF) website, Professor Maha Hosain Aziz of New York University paints a grim picture of the coming decade.

Aziz warns that the next ten years will be “shaped by heightened global risk and unpredictable shock events,” leaving readers to wonder what catastrophes might be lurking around the corner.

“Anything can happen in our post-pandemic era,” Aziz declared, setting the stage for a series of chilling predictions that could potentially reshape our world.

The professor outlines three major “shock events” that he believes could materialize in the near future, each more alarming than the last.

Raw Egg Nationalist outlined these in a recent guest post for InfoWars.

First on Aziz’s list is the emergence of a “new global extremist group” that could harness the power of artificial intelligence to usher in a new era of terrorism.

With the world’s attention divided between multiple major conflicts and a perceived decline in leadership, Aziz suggests that the time might be ripe for such a group to make its mark.

He ominously adds, “Perhaps, it will even leverage AI tools to kick off a new phase of terrorism.”

The second potential crisis Aziz envisions is a deliberate “cyber pandemic.”

Drawing parallels to the recent Crowdstrike outage that wreaked havoc on computer systems worldwide and cost Fortune 500 companies a staggering $5.4 billion, Aziz poses a chilling question: “Imagine if a bad actor did this—on purpose and an even grander scale?”

The professor’s final prediction is perhaps the most visually striking: the possibility of a small island nation disappearing beneath the waves due to climate change.

Despite recent efforts at COP28 to phase out fossil fuels, Aziz expresses skepticism about world leaders following through on their commitments.

He points out that certain island nations, which contribute only 0.3 percent of global emissions, may continue their fight through international law or new climate funds.

However, he raises a haunting question: “If these islands do succumb to climate change, sinking a lot faster than we expect, how will climate activists and world leaders react?”

Aziz’s crystal ball doesn’t stop there. He foresees a shift in global power dynamics, with the United States potentially losing its grip as it grapples with “global wars and domestic challenges.”

The professor also predicts a deepening “recurrent crisis of political legitimacy” both in the US and abroad, as well as a “more complex global mental health crisis.”

These dire predictions align with previous warnings from prominent figures within the World Economic Forum.

In 2022, WEF founder Klaus Schwab cautioned that the world must brace itself for “the frightening scenario of a comprehensive cyber attack,” which he claimed would make the COVID-19 pandemic seem like a “small disturbance” in comparison.

Earlier this year Resist the Mainstream reported on a resurfaced clip where Schwab unveiled a disturbing message to the organization’s “young global leaders.”

Schwab told the group during a private session back in 2022 at the WEF Young Global Leader conference that their brains “will be replicated with AI,” sparking concern on social media.

“You have the chance to look forward to a career of 50 years, in my opinion. Maybe more,” Schwab said during the start of the video shared by Wide Awake Media. He then went on to suggest life-extension technologies that might include “injections.”
