A quick google search shows that these are small hermetically sealed devices typically used to calibrate medical scanners. 2-3mCi with a half life of 271days. This singular event looks like a non issue to me. Unless I am missing something
FYI, I’d pulled off of NRC .gov web site years ago the following:
“Based on information available to the NRC, an average of approximately 375 sources or devices of all kinds are reported lost or stolen each year in the U.S. — that is, roughly one per day.”
