Soft-headed false-binary take. Just had a conversation yesterday with someone sending gun shit over SMS who’s defense for doing it was “They can see everything anyway.” Yet that same person will has deadbolts on all the doors of their house. And blinds on all of the windows. Consistency much? Nuance at all?
McAfee was not soft-headed though. He was there to steer people down the path toward terrible ineffective takes just like this one.
Everyone is glossing over the fact that he is specifically talking about cell phones. The exploits to grab your keystrokes and basically dameware into your phone (Cellbrite and Pegasus, etc) can render encrypted traffic
