We had alot of family fight at the Battle of Kings Mountain, so there was alot of anti-British setiment growing up, more so when the state-side of that military park’s county created ‘The Olde English’ district as historical tourism draw. Older folks in the family would say “Never forget, regardless of what happens in this old world, the British are still the enemy.” Very obvious and solid advice, especially today.
