Our Roman Empire : Fox News – Tom Homan responds to Gavin Newsom’s ‘dare’ to arrest him: ‘No one’s above the law’ (4 hours old)

As we navigate our latest chapter in America’s Color Revolution, I will be posting under the tagline

“Our Roman Empire”

If you don’t see the parallels, allow me to present the latest one.

Tom Homan and Gavin Newsom threaten arrest.

America’s Crossing of the Rubicon?

Remember, in Ancient Times, an Army General, a Head of a Federal Department, and a Governor were, in many respects, not too different in their authority, rank, and power.

This is VERY similar. And, under our current laws, jurisdiction, and political structure this is the only way that a “Crossing of the Rubicon” moment could occur because of the way our government is structured.

Interesting…

    Fiat Justitia Ruat Caelum.

It’s incredibly validating as a Latin teacher, being able to watch Western Civilization (and really all of mankind) illustrate on the daily, why a Classical Education is absolutely necessary. Not only in the formation of young men of virtue and young women of integrity, but in helping us understand and process the sociological, political, psychological, and spiritual forces at work, all around us, all the time. Same today as it was two millennia ago.

As with all studies of History, especially of a culture and history as long, storied, well documented, and influential as the Roman’s that we understand how the world works.

When the Rubicon was crossed so many years ago, the politicians at the time were simply speaking as naturally as our’s do today.

People say “What was it like back then?” and the answer is “Same shit, different day”

Very true, sir! I don’t usually comment online, but I appreciate you, NC Scout, and the rest of y’all’s team for keeping this site going and providing all this valuable information for like-minded countrymen.

I was watching Ralph Fiennes’s modern take on “Coriolanus” the other night (I highly recommend) and kept getting the uncanny feeling of how pertinent and apropos it is to contemporary times. Scheming politicians manipulating the masses against their own self-interest, disaffected heroes jaded by the fickleness of the mob, thoughtful questions about loyalty, family, patriotism, piety, betrayal, and redemption.

“There is nothing new under the sun.”
