Lived there in the 90’s and couldn’t ask for a better place to live; it’s a town of maybe 30,000. My buddy says it’s turned into a 3rd world hell-hole with drugs and prostitution and as usual, the women can’t walk at night. And, it’s at least 3 girls and not two. Apparently both Protestants and Catholics are together on opposing all this. Word is they’ve had enough of the corruption an buy-offs on the part of the politicians.
Drugs are everywhere here now since the albanians took over the coke trade in europe. Prostitution? Not on the streets. In covert brothel?, yeah, always has been. 3rd world hell hole…..where’s the damn laughing emoji when ya need it. Nope ,not true. Not true at all. all the people being targeted are here legitimately working in jobs, paying rent and taxes etc. The romanians came in during our membership of the EU along with all the other eastern europeans. Brexit meant they had to go home or stay. Plenty stayed, lots left. Other eastern europeans warned us about the roma…they weren’t wrong. The only meth labs ever found in this town were run by roma guys. Landlords bought up cheap housing in the area in the news and rented to non locals. The locals aren’t happy. The assault on the local girls happens and the tension boils over. A ever with people here they crap on their own doorstep again and again.
Well? What are WE waiting for? Had enough yet?
