Incredibly sad news, however we are reminded that all Men die. Few live, and even fewer live to not only make the impact of Robert Duvall but are universally beloved. Agustus McCrae, for me, will always be his greatest work surpassing even his portrayal of Robert E. Lee to which he is a direct descendant. -NCS

Requiescat in Pace! Duvall was truly a legend.
Personally, my favorite role of his was as Tom Hagen, adopted son and consigliere of the Corleone Family in the Godfather.
I’d also highly recommend his film “Get Low” co-starring with Bill Murray, about an old hermit who throws his own “funeral party,” and ends up teaching the townsfolk about what it means to live. Very underrated movie.
Outstanding actor leaving a legacy of superb performance.
