Most people think about photography and their minds go immediately to the phone in their pocket. While modern camera phones are leaps and bounds ahead of what they were even a year ago, they are still no replacement for a high end professional camera and a firm grasp on the science of photography.
Photography is critical to ISR and surveillance because it creates attribution of people, places, and things to other people, places, and things. Not only that, but a camera is a critical tool for reconnaissance and surveillance operations at distance or in no-light/low-light scenarios.
