One need only perform a percursory examination of Liberia’s history to find that Black emmigrants to Africa have faired miserably, to say the least. Originally, they were attacked and killed by native tribes. A little over 1800 out of over 4000 survived the first few decades. In order to survive ‘American-Liberians’ have resorted to corruption, nepotism, and terrorism for nearly two centuries. Frederick Douglas was adamantly opposed to the idea of freed slaves returning to Africa.
