Train like no one is coming to help you…and your equipment selection should look the same

I have been telling you for quite a while to train like no one is coming to help you.
I have watched our society decay over the last few decades — moral confusion, lawlessness, family breakdown, and institutions that once protected the innocent now crumbling under their own weight. The Bible warned us this was coming. In 2 Timothy 3, Paul describes the last days: people will be lovers of themselves, brutal, not loving good, treacherous. Jesus Himself said in Matthew 24 that lawlessness will increase and the love of many will grow cold. We are not caught off guard. We are called to be prepared.
Look at what just happened in Goodman, Mississippi — a small town with no police officers left after the entire department resigned when the new mayor took office. A viral video shows armed individuals at the empty police station: knocking on doors with no response, standing on top of marked police vehicles, and openly carrying firearms in broad daylight. The town has only about 90 homes and just 14 people paying taxes. It’s in a deep financial crisis with no audits dating back to 2015–2016. Officials are hoping to hire at least one officer if the budget allows.
This is not a movie. This is reality in America today. When the thin blue line disappears — even in a tiny town — who will protect your family, your church, your community?
This is why we train as Christian warriors.
• Physical training: Strength, conditioning, skills with tools of defense.
• Tactical awareness: Situational readiness, not paranoia.
• Spiritual armor: Ephesians 6 — truth, righteousness, faith, salvation, the Word of God, and prayer without ceasing.
• Community building: Real brotherhood and sisterhood that can stand together when systems fail.
We do not put our ultimate trust in governments, police departments, or institutions. Our trust is in the Lord. But wisdom says to be like the wise virgins who were prepared, or the men of Issachar who understood the times and knew what Israel should do.
Train hard. Train consistently. Train like no one is coming to help you — because in many places, they may not. But the Lord equips those who stand ready to defend what is right, protect the vulnerable, and shine light in growing darkness.
If you’re serious about Christian warrior training, start today. Get in the gym, study the Word, build your tribe, and pray for wisdom and courage. The days are evil. Redeem the time.
Who’s ready to stand?
