The Chinese side told them directly: “We wish you would advocate positions” favorable to Beijing.

Participants included former Joint Chiefs, service chiefs, and combatant commanders names like:
Peter Pace,
Bill Owens,
John Abizaid,
George Casey,
Ray Odierno,
and others.

Some later defended Huawei.
Some questioned U.S. arms sales to Taiwan.
Some took roles connected to Chinese interests💰

This channel started in 2008. It continued for years. It still operates under a new name.
Most countries do not allow this.
China tightly controls its own former senior officers.
Russia does the same.
Many of our allies put real limits on post-retirement engagement with adversaries. America still leaves the door open.

Our government knows.
Our elected representatives know.
Our Joint Chiefs know
And they still leave it open.
Why⁉️

Greed for the 🤑🪎 kills loyalty in our military ranks I guess! 
When the check matters more than the country, the spine leaves with the uniform.
Influence follows the money.
This is not a loophole.
This is a choice.
And that choice makes America slower to prepare and raises the cost in American lives. 🇺🇸
The names are public.
The meetings happened.
The door is still wide open.
