This is a response to observations made and submitted regarding communications used by AntiFa militants. Keep in mind- all of these are phone based, and all of these apps make money both by selling your data and having backdoor monitoring capabilities. So while it might seem like they’re being super sneaky by using video games like minecraft to communicate, there’s always a weakness when using infrastructure you don’t have control over. Just saying. -NCS

Your correspondent makes a good guess, but there’s no method of text communication in Pokemon GO, and no method of sharing contact info. If you have pre-arranged code, you could probably arrange signals, but no actual English. You’d still need to communicate outside the app.

It’s not Chinese, either. The developer Niantic is an American company and Pokemon is largely a Japanese property.

Anyway, your guy is on the right track, but he’s probably just seeing nerds in this case.
