Most of my medical is ten years old, and my collection of supplies is rather pathetic.
The “Super Silver Solution” and the “Super Silver Wound Gel” from Infowars is amazing. Don’t forget the pink lotion for Poison Ivy if you live in the right areas. I know that MD is full of that stuff. That stuff will ruin your month. Even the roots will make you sick if you dig in terrain that has poison ivy, but doesn’t show any sign of it growing. Including the dirt being contaminated with the oils. The roots leak out a sap, and at night it looks like you have stars in your fighting position. It’s awful. I hate that stuff.

Also, I recommend everyone purchases any product other than over-the-counter pain killers. Those things cause about 50,000 deaths per year. Internal bleeding, kidney, and liver failure are the primary causes. It stands to reason that China poisons a certain amount of pills every year in their stealth war against us.

Medical Supplies go quick because you have to change the bandages every day, if not more often.

I forgot to mention parasites and stomach discomfort. “Living Defense” by Infowars is excellent. I have used it multiple times, and I recommend you use it every now an again even if you think you don’t have anything. Because you might.
If you have dysentary, cholera, or worms 800mg of Motrin will “tighten you up” if you know what I mean…
If you bed down, or take shelter near a rat’s nest,, opossums, fox, or pigeons you are gonna get VERY sick. Including equine and bovine.
I am current treating a sinus infection and throat infection from this very same mistake. I feel like garbage.

I maintain a closet full of meds, pain relievers, oral stuff, etc and I rotate from that as needed. It looks like a small store. I get all the household stuff. Toothpaste, floss, picks, shampoo, soap, skin cream, pain meds, rubbing alcohol, peroxide, sunscreen, 1st Aid kits, itch cream, bugspray, etc. I go to dollar store-type places to get some. I pick up extras when I go to the grocery store, such as getting extra supplies ahead of cold season. If I see a special on something like Sambucol elderberry syrup, I grab it. (NOTE-buy cold meds in excess BEFORE cold season, like now. You don’t want to be trying to find that stuff when everyone is sick. Just look at last winter when everything was flying off the shelves. A few years ago, we had a nasty cold season and all the elderberry stuff dried up across my entire region. I was surprised when the stuff I like was suddenly unobtainable at any cost, even online.)

I also check the discount section at the grocery store. If I see something useful on special, I grab that, too. My Giant grocery store puts out all the old stuff every Monday so you knew when to show up for the must-sell items. And I hit the club stores for bulk purchases of rubbing alcohol, mouthwash, package of a dozen bars of soap, etc (I also like the Dr. Bronner liquid soap. It’s concentrated, multi-purpose, and the mint flavor is great). If you’re cheap, you can add to your stock by saving all those little hotel toiletries when you travel. I used to work on a travel job, so it was easy to end up with a sizeable collection of mini-soaps, shampoos and conditioners, mini-toothpastes and mouthwashes, etc.

I grab a variety, too. Not all the same brands. So I have some tylenol, some aspirin, some alieve, some goodys, etc in various sizes, getting some mini-packs with 2 pills up to the larger bottles of 200. The little packets of 2x or the tiny tubes of 10x pills can be great for your keeping in your pack or car. I suggest you don’t go cheap on the toothbrushes. All toothbrushes are not created equal and the difference between the cheap-o version and the name brand is palpable upon first use. Bulk razors and shave cream, too. I probably won’t need them any time soon for my beard, but if times are tough, someone else might need them. Even if you don’t need it, it doesn’t hurt to get stuff you don’t use. Kid’s buttpaste is great on adult rashes, too. You might not have hemorrhoids, but someone you know may. Having some tampons might be important, too. I asked wife unit to pick what she wanted at the club store-I did not want to be responsible for getting the wrong product. During an emergency, I could see her remembering every month why I’m the worst guy since Genghis Khan. Thanks to the bulk package, I don’t think she’ll ever have to buy them again.

I get multivitamins if they’re on sale. Cheap multivitamins, B, and C aren’t optimal, but in an emergency, they’re probably a good addition to the stress your immune system will be under. I added some fish antibiotics for my beloved fish. From time to time, I make a trip to the drug store and stock up on a few more boxes of gauze, bandages, and other items. I also rotate some of the first aid stuff out as it ages. The expiration dates on the meds are somewhat flexible, but I’ve been surprised a couple times when I tore open an alcohol prep pad, only to find it bone dry. That stuff was what we were using when I found out how great sriracha sauce is for prop blood.

One thing I also include is NoDoze and caffeine pills and nicotine lozenges. You never know when you’ll need to stay awake or someone who smokes can’t smoke.

Don’t forget hydration solution. I have some small jugs of pedialite from when junior was little. I doubt it can go bad. I also keep some gatorade mix on hand for the same purposes. And you can make your own mix out of salt and sugar. https://www.wikihow.com/Make-an-Oral-Rehydration-Salts-Drink-(ORS) Bag it and just add water when it’s required. Oh, and while you’re at it- at the grocery store, they have this instant True Lemon lemon juice powder. They also have instant grapefruit, lime, and orange. Get some and save it. I keep some to add if I need to make hydration solution or just want to add some flavor to life.

In addition to all the various medical and first aid guides out there, I think it’s worth getting one of the Home Doctor/Home Remedy-type books. I’ve found a few at used book stores over the years. They’re full of simple tips for various minor issues. I also think it’s also worth doing some homework on what local plants you can use. For instance, we have tons of broad leaf plantain where we live (not the tropical starchy banana, but the common weed. It’s probably in your yard). It can be used as a quick itch reliever when chewed and placed on a mosquito bite. There are lots of useful plants and old timers’ tricks if you do some reading.

Obviously, I didn’t get all this stuff at once. Phase it in as time and wallet permits. I know a young millennial girl who lamented it was too expensive to get supplies. I told her to just add 10% to her shopping when she can and stick it someplace out of the way and she’ll be surprised how fast it accumulates. I write the date on the packages with black or blue permanent marker, too, so I know what’s oldest.
Don’t forget your rubber gloves. Those are easy to find again.
