Evil on Earth, Why People Do Bad Things and Two Solutions, by DVM

The Christian explanation of evil human behavior is that it results from unredeemed people behaving in ways that flow from their bad nature. This is the concept of Sin, which entered our world when Adam and Eve disobeyed God, having been influenced by the Devil. Sadly, Sin has touched every part of Creation, including our natural world and especially relationships of humans to God and humans to humans.
It took one generation only before humans started killing each other. Cain rose up and killed his brother Abel due to a kind of spiritual jealousy, for his offering was not accepted by God like Abel’s was. Cain was very angry and it was evident on his face (“why has your countenance fallen?”). Cain was told by God that he had a sin problem (“if you do not do well, sin lies at the door”). Sin is powerful and can overtake us. Cain was told that Sin’s desire was toward him but that he should rule over it. We know from the New Testament that this is impossible without a redeeming relationship with Jesus Christ and a daily reliance on the Holy Spirit. This sin problem should have driven Cain TO the Savior, but he WENT THE OTHER WAY. Cain did talk with Abel but then killed him in the field.
Humanity marched on until at Noah’s time the earth was filled with violence. The Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. See any parallels to our current events? As you probably know God flooded the earth. One of my friends once told me that God decided to give the world a bath. Notice that God’s promise to never flood the earth again was the beautiful rainbow. That the rainbow has been stolen to become a banner of the LGBTQ movement is blasphemous.
Next we have the tower of Babel account. Man had become very skilled with knowledge and inventions and became prideful (“Let us build a city and tower whose top is in the heavens and make a name for ourselves!”). God confounded the languages and scattered the people across the earth. This is the grace of God, keeping Man humble enough to realize we need Him.
After this a man named Ishmael was born to Hagar and Abram. The Angel of the Lord told Hagar that he would be “a wild man; his hand shall be against every man and every man’s hand will be against him. And he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren.” To me this refers to the Middle Eastern peoples that constantly fight against Israel, but that is another discussion. In any case notice the common theme of violence against fellow humans.
Moving ahead, we have whole cities being filled with violent homosexuals. Yes, this is Sodom and Gomorrah and other surrounding cities (many people don’t know that there were more cities involved). These degenerates were waiting at the city gates for unsuspecting travelers. They had no shame and were loud and proud (telling Lot to “bring them out to us that we may know them carnally!”). Lot was saved by strong Angels. The Lord Himself overthrew the cities with fire and brimstone raining down from heaven. From the New Testament book of Jude we know that these cities were set forth as examples of what happens to the ungodly (there’s a sad detail that they now suffer ETERNAL fire).
We could go on and on about Man’s violent history of evil, but let’s wrap up with a New Testament example: the martyrdom of Stephen. He was stoned by the Synagogue of the Freedmen outside Jerusalem while Saul (who later became the Apostle Paul) watched. Stephen had preached an amazing sermon covering most of the Old Testament history. The people were furious, yelled out, stopped their ears, and ran at him as a crowd. Then they stoned him. Sound familiar? Anger, yelling, not listening to reason, mass crowd swarming, murder….
Here are TWO SOLUTIONS: The FIRST and greatest is for these people to hear the Gospel and believe. I have spent most of my adult life trying to proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ to anyone who will listen. Honestly though, these rioters, activists, Marxists, and evil-doers don’t seem receptive to the Message. They are the modern-day Cains, Ishmaels, Babelites, Noahic evildoers, Sodomites, and Stephen-stoners.
SECOND SOLUTION: Remove them from the face of the earth with 5.56, 7.62, etc. I am at peace with this solution. It grieves me to think this way, but I am ready. I thank all those who have helped train me. Blessed be the Lord my Rock, Who trains my hands for war and my fingers for battle.
