That nationalizing infrastructure, outside of the interstates, seems like a dangerous thing to me. I could maybe see the individual states owning infrastructure, but when has government really done anything to right and then you get a crappy President and everything goes haywire, because we all know Congress can’t do anything.
You fail to understand the seriousness of this situation.
Logistics is war. Trade is War. Production is war. Infrastructure is War.
Your method, which we already use, created this problem.
Many ports are leased, or managed under a charter.
We pay our Navy, Coast Guard, Police, and Port Authorities to protect foreign enemy assets.
Sold to them by Americans and our state governments.
A port system run by a military style system would prevent worker strikes, sabotage, and enemy action.
Which are exactly our problems right now.
We need the same system for our Telecom Companies.
Who are completely out of control.
And are, essentially, the Intelligence Community x1000.
The IC needs to ask permission to stop Chinese Threats.
The Telecomms let them hijack our systems.
By allowing them to install foreign devices.
Cheap ones. That can steal billions in data in seconds.
You’ll see. Because what’s coming, my proposal, is already in the works.

Running from blue areas for 20 years is a huge part of the problem. Look at the red/blue map. The major port cities are all in enemy hands. LA, NY – Bayonne, Chicago/St Lawrence and Baltimore. They are blockading the heartland. No shortages in NY. Probably the same in LA. The Dems might be dumb but their handlers are not.
I know guys who left over gun ‘laws’ alone. Sad.

I completely understand your concern over strategic reasons, but you misunderstand my position. When you have say the EPA you get to where we are today in energy dictates to the states, no coal/elimination of coal power, within 10 years no nuke power, unreliable windmills and solar that cannot produce enough power being built all over on property that use to produce food, regs that will eventually take your mode of transportation and put you in an electric vehicle that the power grid can’t handle in the first place, all dictated to the states and the power companies. Not to mention the draconian EPA regulation causing all of the municipalities to remove say phosphorus from your wastewater to near zero levels that costs millions and millions of tax payer dollars. I work in that industry trying to get municipalities out of the jamb that EPA has put them in and its some seriously corrupt science and abuse. A city of 850 people that I work for would have to pay $2 million dollars for a piece of equipment to do that, just the piece of equipment, doesn’t include the infrastructure to house and operate and the chemicals it uses to maintain it. The IRS. Be careful what you wish for. If you or I were in charge of such a system, it may not be the case, but we are not the corrupt power Elite. And those power elite will put their marxist in charge of it.
