Radio Contra 104. The Curious Case of Dr. Lieber and The Rusty Zumwalt

Episode 104: I cover the beginning of the trial of Dr. Charles Lieber, Professor Emeritus and Harvard Department Head, who’s been caught spying for the Chinese Communist Party. Far more insidious is not just the academics who’s supported him but the undeniable facts behind the Chinese influence on our research institutions. Next I cover the USS Zumwalt, which has come back to port looking less than combat worthy.

Justice will only be served if that communist Lieber is swinging from a rope!

Justice will be served when all of the communists in DC are swinging from a rope or properly ventilated by a firing squad.

@Scout, not sure if you may already follow him but there is a long time .Mil blogger, a retired Navy Commander, that has long covered the sorry state of naval acquisition. He has a special level of disdain for both the DDG-1000 and LCS (aka Little Crappy Ship) programs and the abortions that were eventually put afloat. Here’s a link to a search of “DDG-1000” tag on his site; stories going back 15+ years.

He has two other regular topics I think you would appreciate too. “Fullbore Friday” where he covers a incredible historical story of valor that is little known. As well as “Diversity Thursday” highlighting the corrosive effects on the military of the diversity industry.

I welded in shipyards for a long time. Very common to come back with large rust streaks. The blocky patches tell me something was welded on the backside of that area and they tried to fix the paint on the hull but did it incorrectly. It’ll likely be media blasted and painted all at once next time it’s in drydock.
