My ‘head lights’ dim with age and the eyes ain’t what they used to be, BUT–the pic on the first few frames–is that a mortar shell?
…just askin’….
Spotter On.
Fire when ready.
Hit…
I wonder how they are aiming these things…
No doubt this footage was scrubbed so people don’t get any ideas.
Cornelius, no not a mortar shell. Looks like a 43mm VGM-93.900 without the propellant cartridge and had a plastic fin/tail in place of it. The round is used in the GM-94 grenade launcher. They are a very powerful grenade in a lightweight package.
What I was wondering was that his head that went flying forward ?
