Biden: FOOD SHORTAGES ARE COMING

CNN: Biden says Western leaders discussed food shortages, which he says will be “real”

US President Joe Biden said leaders discussed the possibilities of food shortages triggered by the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Biden said food shortages will be “real,” and he called Ukraine and Russia the “breadbasket” for Europe.

Supplies from the two countries together account for almost 30% of global wheat trade.

“The price of the sanctions is not just imposed upon Russia. It’s imposed upon an awful lot of countries as well, including European countries and our country as well,” Biden said in remarks after an emergency NATO meeting in Brussels.

“We had a long discussion in the G7 with … both the United States, which has a significant — the third largest producer of wheat in the world — as well as Canada, which is also a major, major producer. And we both talked about how we could increase and disseminate more rapidly food … In addition to that, we talked about urging all the European countries and everyone else to end trade restrictions on sending, limitations on sending food abroad. So we are in the process of working out with our European friends what it would be, what it would take to help alleviate the concerns relative to food shortages,” he said.

Biden also mentioned a “significant” US investment model for humanitarian assistance, which would include food.

Separately, French President Emmanuel Macron laid out the details of a proposed EU-led food security initiative designed to alleviate the risk of food shortages caused by the war.

“This situation will create a food crisis, extremely serious humanitarian situations in several countries and are sure to have massive political consequences in several countries,” Macron said at a news conference in Brussels on Thursday.

According to a document circulated by the Elysée, Russia is the top exporter of wheat worldwide (33 million tons in 2021) with Ukraine not far behind (fourth largest exporter, with 20 million tons in 2021).

The document estimates 27 mostly African and Middle Eastern countries source over 50% of their wheat from Russia or Ukraine.

The three-pronged initiative spelled out in the document would rely on measures, such as making crisis stockpiles of grain available to “avoid any shortages and keep prices down,” raising production thresholds, and stepping up investments in sustainable agriculture in the most-affected countries.

Not to worry–there will be PLENTY of good, wholesome food for TPTB, just as there was dished out in the Kremlin, while the average Russian starved in the 1930s and the Great Patriotic War.

PS Stalin’s personal cook keeping plenty on Stalin’s platter? He was one “Spiridon Ivanovich Putin.’

    Paternal Grandfather of Vladimir Putin!

If you aren’t PRODUCING a big chunk of your own food, you’re wrong.

We know it’s a good thing to build up a good sized pantry and the time will come that the wicked Deep State will label intelligent folks who’ve stocked up to be “Horders.” I’ll tell ya’ who the biggest horders are, it’s the U.S. Gov’t that have stuffed food-stuffs to the brink in over a hundred deep underground military bases. Ain’t none of their darn business what we stock up on! The scripture says, “But if any provide not for his own, and specially for his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel” [I Timothy 5:8].

I had the opportunity to attend Lt. Col. Jeff Cooper’s “Gunsite” for a “Special Carbine COI” back in the late ’80’s. What a character he was! He had something interesting to say regarding this topic at-hand:

“We are annoyed by the assumption on the part of certain public figures
that the citizen should be able to prove the need to acquire a means of protecting himself. The Citizen’s personal needs are no business of the State. Liberty, when in place, grants the right of the Citizen to do what he chooses as long as he does not stamp on the rights of others. Nobody needs caviar or a pleasure boat or opera tickets. Whether he wants these things is, again, NO BUSINESS OF THE STATE.”

    BAM!

Next in line will be gasoline rationing. It happened back in late 1973 & 1974 here in the (F)USA with the Arab oil embargo. I remember it quite well. That’s when we still had full service stations that not only sold gas but did repairs, etc. I can remember seeing lines waiting to get into the stations & causing traffic jams. Quite a few stations closed down early & went back to the old custom of not opening on Sundays. Many ran out of supplies & were closed for weeks. Fast forward to 1978 & the Iranian revolution along subsequent wars in the Middle East & once again shortages materialized. The new US Department of Energy was in charge of implementing a gas rationing program as the crisis worsened. The DOE actually spent well over $20 million having ration coupons printed up that were never used. To put it bluntly, their plan was a joke! The situation eventually took care of itself but brought with it higher fuel prices & double digit inflation set in during the first years of the 1980’s.

Gas and food riots are what I am expecting before the end of the year. I believe the canary in the coal mine will be LA.

    • NC Scout March 24, 2022 at 15:49

      I think you’re right.

      • Taxtro March 24, 2022 at 16:16

To further my thought is that LA county has more than 10 million people of all the different worldly ethnic groups. Most of these groups are already self segregated. Just about everything that is consumed is piped, trucked, freighted in. Gas is upwards to $7 for the cheap stuff.

And now Cali .gov is looking at giving ‘free’ money to each person to help cover the gas expenses. They should just remove state gas tax if they really wanted to help.

Things are warming up, I don’t think people will be able to take a more than a few months before we start seeing sparks from these shortages. And with those outrage sparks someone ethnically is going to get killed..to which will only stoke the flames.

Took a class several years ago from Scott Reitz. Scott was with LAPD Swat during the King riots. Said the one thing he will never be able to forget is the smell- the smell of the city burning. Said he was on very, very long shifts and when he went off, he just walked into the shower with his uniform on and the soot from his clothes just ran black down the drain…..

“To further my thought is that LA county has more than 10 million people of all the different worldly ethnic groups. Most of these groups are already self segregated.” Hmmm, sounds racist to me.
Separate but equal? What happened to diversity? Free money is never free…”And with those outrage sparks someone ethnically is going to get killed..to which will only stoke the flames.” California ethnically speaking is, Latinos 39%, Whites 36%, Asian 15%, African Americans 6%, everyone else 4%. No group >50%, ie, everyone is a minority. Some more, some less. Who are the killers and who are the killed? Fuel for thought, oh, sorry, no pun intended. In case of fire break…well..everything.

As I mentioned, the possibility of both food & fuel rationing good very well happen this year. I wouldn’t doubt it the least bit if the federal government already has the cards & systems set up & ready to implement. All I can say is if this is the case, it’s going to be really bad! Riots as you’ve concurred, could happen as a result. For me, it would be the 1960’s all over again.

Also, seeing some casualties of rising fuel prices. Went past a house the other day & saw a for sale sign on a 2020 Chevy Silverado 4X4 Pickup in the front. Passed a late model Jeep today with the same. Pulled into a convenience store Tuesday night & 6 out 8 pumps were shut down. I’d say by summer, it’s only going to get worse.

I was living up in Sacto at the time, and what was not covered were the copy cat incidents throughout various, mainly progressive/libtard environs of Cali, that occurred.

Most folks don’t realize that Cali is far more redneck/conservative in the outlying country outside LA, SF, Sac, San Diego, and various ANTIFA groups have had their asses handed to them as a result when they try to stir shit up in, Auburn, Grass Valley, Northern Cali aka State Of Jefferson…They don’t fuck around, have backhoes and hogs..Hell even Beverly Hill residents posted up folks during the riots to prevent hoodrats from coming in, let’s not forget ‘Roof Top Koreans w M-1s doing their thing..

I vividly recall Reginald Denny’s head being bashed in by the feral simians of LA, and made a personal vow, held to this day, that I will NOT be that guy, period.

It’s not a matter of if, but when, as Bracken so presciently opined in https://www.americanpartisan.org/2020/05/when-the-music-stops-how-americas-cities-may-explode-in-violence/ the “normines et al” will get a taste of things to come.

Most folks are 9 meals away from major hunger, they will be coming to get their fair share of your/our shit…

Heavy Duty and perilous days we are currently living in.

For means of great encouragement let it be said in a loud fashion, “Salvation is of the LORD” (Jonah 2:9c, KJV) and while it is prudent and manly to prepare it is imperative that All Hands understand and rejoice that to be in Christ Jesus [The LORD our righteousness] is to be free, saved, delivered, sanctified, redeemed, eternally secured and those that, “Believe on the Lord Jesus and thou shalt be SAVED, and thy house” are not only in ‘The Ark of Eternal Salvation’ but shall be with Him in glory for all eternity.

The vast majority of wicked, unbelieving folks will be heaved into the Lake of Fire for ever and ever. Please note Matthew ch. 7, vss. 21-23. The great and dreadful LORD God of heavenly hosts [-armies] is merciful and gracious. Call upon His name while He may be found; seek Him while He is near. None of us are promised another day on this planet: TODAY IS THE DAY OF SALVATION!
“This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief” -I Timothy 1:15

    sent with love… Cheers
