Cue The New International Brigade

The American media blitz is certainly an interesting animal over the current war in Ukraine. Almost in unison, we have the mockingbirds each rushing to create a rigid dichotomy full of flowery imagery signed, sealed and delivered, tailor made to appeal to American culture. Whatever the hell that is.

We love an underdog. Am I right?

Poor Zelinsky, poor Ukraine, hapless boobs under the threat of the Russian war machine. Its a story tailor made for Hollywood, and may very well have been. Certain elements of the story just don’t seem to add up, and while the grainy cell phone videos of the aftermath of a Javelin ambush (at the low low price of $150k a shot, paid for by you, America – while Burisma lines its pocket) glorify the scrappy rebels staring down an armored onslaught, little is being shown of the other side. Just like Star Wars, with plot armor provided by the media. And surely, this is not one sided. It is foolish to entertain the notion that the Russian bear is any less capable than it actually is, and downright stupid to assume they are not moving without a larger plan. Keep in mind all of this is a result of US meddling, even down to the threats of Ukraine seeking nuclear weapons. Who would provide them?

Russia is a big problem, China is a far bigger problem, and the biggest problem is that Belt and Road is quickly maneuvering to replace the dollar as the reserve currency. Force is not how you deal with them, especially given the US’ weakness in the past year. A bumbling dementia patient is fooling no one. This invasion is not the first battle of Grozny, nor the second, but it may become the battle of Vicksburg from which Zhukov formulated Soviet and thus Russian combined arms maneuver. That said, the lone evidence we’re being provided with simply points to restraint and an attempt at minimal impact on the civilian populace. Cell phone service and power remain on for the bulk of the country, even in contested areas. None of this makes sense if you’re invading an area; rather, this appears to be more of a maneuver to bolster the populace who voted for the last guy in charge of Ukraine, you know, before the US-run Euromaidan color revolution.

Compare that to Shock n’ Awe in 2003 where the US spent the next 11 years footing a bill for a war we provoked. Great return on investment.

Its a Hollywood production and nothing about the story is lining up. But further, and even more dangerous, is the invitation of foreign volunteers into Ukraine at the behest of its President. From a story run on Buzzfeed

A group of 10 special operations forces veterans are staging in Poland and preparing to cross into Ukraine, where they plan to take up President Volodymyr Zelensky on his offer to “join the defense of Ukraine, Europe, and the world,” according to a US Army veteran arranging their passage.

The group, composed of six US citizens, three Brits, and a German, are NATO-trained and experienced in close combat and counterterrorism. They want to be among the first to officially join the new International Legion of the Territorial Defense of Ukraine that Zelensky announced Sunday, according to text messages reviewed by BuzzFeed News. Two former American infantry officers are also making plans to come to Ukraine to provide “leadership” for the group, the Army veteran recruiter said.

How heroic. Going to fight for free…for the nobility of cause. Or are they?

I’ll remind the readers a brief bit of history. In the vacuum created by America’s efforts in regime change….er…spreading democracy around the middle east, other elements took advantage outside the reach of governmental intervention, setting up terror training camps. The modern day AntiFa sprang forth from the Academy in the Rojava region, a guerrilla training camp built on Che Guevara’s model, cheerleaded by the far Left in America and propagandized on Vice’s Fighting ISIS series. Those fighters came back home and brought their knowledge with them. To them, it was the Spanish Civil War all over again, galvanizing a foundation for an armed and trained radical Leftist movement of domestic terrorists still very much in operation today. Nothing has changed, but you can bet your bottom dollar they’re getting ready for AntiFa 2.0.

These ‘SOF Vets’ running to the sound of gunfire are the new cadre for the next phase in a larger Leftist global insurgency. The longer this fight slogs on, the longer they can take advantage of the time. And if they blow up a tank or two, all the better, am I right? Far cheaper than putting them in a Uniform. Don’t worry, the Top People at the FBI will be keeping tabs on them. Top People.

Oh and we just gave them Javelins, SMAW-Ds and AT-4s. Nice.

The usual idiot outlets, Reddit and Twitter, are chock full of newly-minted tough guys pumped full of communist nonsense from the entertainment industry encouraging them to run off to the fight. Best of luck with that. The commissars know, as they always have, that you’re walking into a butcher’s shop just as Stalin and Bayo knew in the 1930s, pushing the Anarchist Internationals to the front reserving their own. Orwell found out the hard way. Useful idiots, every one. Go fight for Burisma and please, do not come back. But those that survive, to bring their training home, are more than willing to export that love of the hunt onto others. As another vet of that era, Hemingway, would succinctly point out, once you’ve hunted armed men you just don’t care for much else.

No matter how this pans out, nuclear war or no, the severe social consequences of lionizing Leftists in a fight the west provoked will absolutely bring about the next phase in a looming bloody civil war here at home. And that’s the one you should prepare for, because they are.

Ukraine already HAD nuclear weapons, the 3rd largest nuclear arsenal in the world. I notice the Bear wasn’t nearly so aggressive back then for some reason…..Love them or hate them, smaller nations if they don’t want the 82 Airborne or the 74th Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade to suddenly appear in their Capital- must have a deterrent. I won’t fault anyone for claiming an effective right of self defense. Just as the handgun makes the 110 pound woman the equal of the 250 pound Biker Convict, so does the nuclear weapon make Estonia the equal of Russia- OR the U.S. The fact that Ukraine was duped into giving up their Nukes in the first place for Western “security guarantees” makes it all the more obvious how bad of a deal that was right now……….As far as the conflict in Ukraine itself there are 100 different ways to look at it. There are infinite “information sources” that anyone can use to bolster their own opinion on the matter- whatever that might be. I’m no fan of the Russians and Putin. After the Holmodor they have no legitimate claims to Ukraine in my opinion whatsoever. Pure, unadulterated evil is the mildest statement I can make about that…… Most of the Ukrainians don’t seem to be too excited about the prospect of being part of the greater Russian Sphere of Influence. That’s their right. Stingers etc…. have a shelf life. Whether we give them to Ukraine or we let them sit on a shelf for 20 years and then decommission them, the cost is sunk either way and we’re going to pay for their replacement anyway. I recently watched over 400 Acogs get shredded by our government when they easily could have been rebuilt and used- they bought new ones instead. So I’m not going to get too worked up about sending the Ukrainians weapons they will actually use.

I think you missed the point.

      • American Yeoman March 1, 2022 at 11:46

Nothing is what it seems is about all I can make of the whole situation. For example. The fact that phone and internet is still on is cited as meaning “something else is going on.”… Well, Ok, maybe so…..BUT, I have seen several alternative explanations for this that actually make sense- one being, the Russians aren’t interested in conquering Ukraine. They don’t want to murder everyone and piss off the whole country (which would also explain their halting advances) by reducing it to rubble Chechnya style. They simply want to install a puppet regime and destroying everything etc…will not make that any easier. Breaking everything works in the US model where we (our huge military industrial complex) then Rebuild it all- at great Taxpayer expense, but maybe the Russians would rather not have to do that? Maybe they seek only Regime change with no interest in “nation building” or Occupation- something that various commentators have opined would have been a better US option in Afghanistan for example given the ultimate outcome there……..I have no doubt that Leftists will travel to Ukraine to get combat and logistical experience. But, at any given time, there are plenty of opportunities to get combat experience. Someone is always shooting at someone somewhere. The Donbass has been an active war zone- with volunteers on the frontlines, for 7 years now. So, I am willing to concede that I may have missed the point but there are different points to be made and seen in all this and “proof” is scarce, opinions, inferences, and possibilities are many…. The Fog of War is ever present…Honestly, what is your thought on what we, or The West, or the World for that matter should do? I value your opinion.

I think we should stay home and close our borders.

And anyone going to fight in Ukraine should become citizens there and never return.

          • American Yeoman March 1, 2022 at 12:01

            We certainly agree on that.

          • SOG March 1, 2022 at 15:16

the US has enough resources to be an Island. perhaps we need to be weaned off of cheap chinese shit.

we can be food and energy independent in this nation.

I think the US/Mex border should be a DMZ with only strict crossing areas for commerce etc..

I would only add that lets get that PSA ak ammo production up first:)

    • NC Scout March 1, 2022 at 11:23

Holomodor, et al, while an atrocity, bears little if any relevance to the current geopolitical situation aside from cultural relevance.

We installed the current regime in place of the lawfully elected one in 2014, with a quorum in at least two regions refusing to recognize the sovereignty of the replacement government. Sentiment aside, that’s the facts.

Further, the actions on part of Zelinsky in jailing political opposition from their recent election (that outside the west was wideley accused of being fraudulent) and banning three TV stations are also telling. He learned from the best.

This is not an appologism for Russia. But the facts in all this do not add up. To the larger point, the invitation of international actors in this does not bode well for our future.

      • American Yeoman March 1, 2022 at 11:59

We certainly did topple the Kremlin friendly regime in 2014, I will stipulate that fact….But, it is also fact that EVERY Ukrainian election since they left the Soviet Union had large and credible allegations of fraud and murder of opponents, journalists etc…I don’t know that anyone could ever pick up a that turd by the “clean end”. That was true whether the participants were Pro West, Pro One World Order or Pro Moscow. It seems like Ukraine was making progress and many (most?) Ukrainians were reasonably happy under the current “regime”. Flip side of that of course is the reverse Monroe Doctrine- we KNEW the Russians considered Ukraine joining Nato etc…a no go option- and were pushing that eventuality. So, again, I don’t honestly know what to make of it all, there are no or few good guys, some clearly bad guys, some probably bad guys etc…and of course the average Ukrainian caught in the middle of it all.

You don’t like the intro of Schwab productions?
Hang in there, it gets better.

“Elections matter. And when folks vote, they order what they want — and in this case they got what they asked for.

Apparently borders matter in Ukraine, yet not our very own southern border of the United States. District of Criminals and dementia Joe won’t lobby to support our own border, HELL NO!!. Hypocrisy of it all is damn near too much to take! This story proves just how duped some folks are heading on over to Ukraine to get bloodied, WTH!

    • SOG March 1, 2022 at 15:18

there should be an immediate nullifcation of NFA laws as arming these countries with tax payer funded equipment and weapons shows why its BS, UKR and AFG case in point

  5. Scipio March 1, 2022 at 13:26

Spot on analysis. The US is the aggressor here. Have journos and politicians “committed suicide” in Russia’s sphere? Sure. Then their is the USA Clinton crime syndicate with a trail of “suicides”. Then the FBI is a whole other category. If “sudden deaths” is a litmus test, then both sides tie on that one.

Being a prepper minded and action oriented individual my take on your article (which I agree with 100%) was we’d better get our own house in order and train for the fight that’s coming here. But like I’ve mentioned here before, I’m just a back woods knuckle dragger and fully capable of missing the point.

  8. George W. Graham March 1, 2022 at 14:09

First and foremost, I am no Brandon fan. Never have been, Never will be. That said, you talk about the Neo-soviets showing restraint. Dropping cluster bombs on a shopping mall full of civilians is restraint? Dropping a 1000 Kg thermobaric weapon on a city street at rush hour is restraint? This morning the Russians started pounding the Kiev with MRLS rockets. That shows a lot of restraint. These are average work a day Charlies that are just trying to provide for their families. Sure their government is fucked up but ours is too. Badly. They love they country and love their freedom. If that makes them a Nationalist, then I guess I’m a Nationalist too. You should try it, it feels great. In the west, governments come and go every few years. Once a country falls to the communists, it rarely come back and the neighboring countries become susceptible to subversion. For all of their faults they need our support. If it means going nose to nose with that shit-bag Putin, so be it. He’s stubby little Napoleon wanna be bully. Like all bullies, if we push back, he’ll talk shit for while and then crawl back under his rock. Reapers, Stingers, A 10’s and 155’s come to mind. We we in the West don’t stop him in Kiev, we’ll have to do it in Warsaw or London or somewhere else. As for you, you need to re-calibrate your thinking there hard-corps.

    • NC Scout March 1, 2022 at 14:15

Where is the footage of that?

If it happened, it would be playing on a loop non stop. Its not.

There is however quite a bit of footage of Azov killing civilians that’s coming out. And since everyone is in unison telling us that the same people who’ve been telling the world you and I are Hitler incarnate are right, call me not just skeptical, but full of contempt.

Further, you’ve missed the whole point as well. Antifa 2.0 is getting trained and armed right now and nobody is batting an eye. And if you don’t recognize THAT, on top of everything else, you’re part of the problem, ‘hard-corps’.

    • NC Scout March 1, 2022 at 14:38

      Actually, one last thing.

“I’m no fan of Brandon, but”…

You mean the man who ended American democracy? Who labels half the nation terrorists? Who holds political prisoners, STILL, from a political rally asking for accountability? A man who openly presides over the most openly, in your face corrupt administration in American history?

The man who coerced the Ukrainian regime to cover his own levels of self enriching corruption? Who then had at least a hand in the color revolution which replaced the regime to the current puppet? Neo-Con, Neo Liberal, all the same.

Answer those questions for us and then I’ll entertain any further judgement.

  10. boss21 March 1, 2022 at 15:16

Excellent article. Everyone talks shit for days, but the wise stop and learn – then talk. Focus like a laser on the home front and accountability for the Covid/vaxx atrocity. The world is going regional – we have plenty issues in ours. Moscow and Beijing will handle theirs. EUSSR – well, the less said about them the better.

  11. Überdeplorable Psychedelic Cat Grass March 2, 2022 at 13:12

May they stay there! We do not need them coming home and stirring up trouble.

I have a feeling that the SIGINT skills that Scout taught 25 of us last week are about to come in handy.

I separate but somewhat related note, I wish I had my HF rig here. It would be very interesting to listen to the EAMs going out.
