Good topic. metals have industrial application regardless using diesel generator with biodiesel on site. Metals good. Mentats bad.

Good interview. It was good that Mr. Rawles mentioned nickels. Something though that I have been trying to disseminate through our communities is that the other clad coins are also nickel clad (almost 9%) copper, and we have been on a nickel copper standard since 1965. If we all started to hoard current coin, we would have a good start on maintaining a monetary system through any currency crises (I really pushed it hard along with copper acquisition and hoarding through copper scrap collecting during the 2008 crises, and sometimes wonder if it didn’t have some effect in PTB not completely crashing the system at that time). also It would also create a demand and we could hope that the government would push more coin into circulation, and that in turn might also perhaps slightly strengthen the $ (though that may already be a dead cow).

Also hoarding copper allows us to convert it into coin to supplement the original current circulation coin.

Scout mentioned, as we have been inundated with the gold and silver pushers (not that I have anything against either, but it has been at the expense of copper) for so long, that gold and silver has been used as money through history, BUT so has copper and likely even longer either gold or silver. Actually, historically, any metal has been valuable, only in current times do people throw it out to the street, and I do believe there is a biblical reference to people doing such in the end times.
