Pretty routine EAMs. The callsign at the end was potentially unusual, or just a mispronunciation (skydown? instead of skyking).

EAMs go out constantly, even though most of them are, “situation normal, continue operations.” You don’t want to give the enemy SIGINT by telling them that you are doing something by suddenly having dozens of EAMs when you haven’t issued one in six months.

That’s absolutely not how EAMs work.

      Many levels.

First, when it gets reverse engineered, our system of encryption and frequency hoping, which is NSA Type III, is going to be mapped. The Russians already had this capability, but its been handed to them on a platter now.

Second, there’s zero denying any American involvement now. During the Cold War at least proxies had the presence of mind to maintain plausible deniability. All that’s gone now.

Last, and most important to me, is the capturing of this is a complete disregard for COMSEC. This is equipment you destroy in your dying breath – destruction plans are a thing, and the fact that this is now where it ended up is one more indicator discipline is a thing of the past.
