Nehemiah Strong, A Book Worth Reading, by NC Scout

I first met John Dyslin at the Signals Intelligence Course several years ago accompanying Bob Griswold. A true gentle giant, quite literally, one thing was apparent up front – John is a man of staunch faith. If there is one criticism that can be made of a great deal of Christians today, its that our faith is something of a social activity and little more, placing the Church on a pedestal as something to give lip service towards rather than placing it at the center of our lives and culture. When you meet those people of deep faith however, it is a recognition that is not easily explained and certainly not taken lightly. John is one.

That brings us to Nehemiah. Defying enemies on all sides, Nehemiah rebuilt the walls of Jerusalem, organizing his people for purpose and once more bringing the tribe of Judah back to the favor of the Lord. He would be what would be labeled an ‘extremist’ by contemporary standards, and considering the state of the contemporary America, an analog is certainly quite striking.

John submitted an advance copy for review here at American Partisan and I’ve been honored to do so. Aptly described as a spiritual warfare toolbox, its my opinion that it is much more. Many in the prepping community are also people of great faith, and, at least in my opinion and observations in training people across the US, this is certainly the case and as such require that Biblical underpinning to obtain greater understanding. For most it is the underpinning of why we prepare, why we train, and why we oppose tyrannical measures that openly work in spite of Christianity, mocking and smearing those of faith in ever more vulgar ways by the day. As a product of such, we also know that Christianity in America, as in the days of the Soviet system, will absolutely be persecuted. And that brings us to the real importance of John’s manual.

This is a required workbook for the Faithful putting Christianity into practice, plain and simple. It was created as a technical text for guidelines for living in a world amid ostensible persecution and the repression of free speech and faith through all means. Having worked with John and been honored to know him through the years, the sections on personal privacy, security and anonymity in communications, both internet practices and on the radio, are particularly important. I also really like the section on flash rally procedures, borrowing a page or two from the Left. Everything contained is meticulously well researched and documented, including points for further exploration and refinement on part of the reader. Overall you’re going to find a faith-based handbook for the righteous to operate in a world gone mad, seeking to rebuilt those walls in the hope of returning this great nation to its founding principles.

Finding Biblical principle in contemporary practice, this manual is one that must not simply be read, but referenced again and again. Definitely pick up a copy from his site.

Will sit right next to Unintended Consequences after i finish reading it. I wonder if he would be willing to sign copies if we tell him that we were referred by AP?
